Great second round!
Fantastic course for the high handicapper. Greens in great shape and wide fairways help with driving confidence.
Great Course and in very good condition
The golf course was in good condition. Greens and tee boxes good.
Very much enjoyed the course and hadn’t played it for a while wondered why I hadn’t!
Had lunch at the course which was very nice.
All staff we encountered were very friendly.
Golf with mate
Booked online to play a round with a friend.
We based it on meeting halfway from each others homes.
Great course and will definitely go back probably for a golf break.
Would definitely recommend this course great layout and value for money.
Excellent
A very good course and venue, well looked after and friendly staff. Some very good holes and course layout.
Great test
Great test and good layout, lots of interesting holes, nothing too easy. Greens in good condition and course in general well kept. Only issue for us was a lityslow, 4.5 hour round, slower than we are used to
Excellent as usual
Bit busy, was a little slow in places but superb as always. Fully recommend
Great value twilight round
£15 for upto 18holes from 4pm - is fab values for a great course.
Unfortunately, it was not clear where the pro shop was so asked for directions to be told by fellow golfers there was no pro shop and to play per tee time.
So apologies if there is one but tried both out buildings to no avail.
Course is good condition considering the recent dry weather & layout was a decent challenge.
Worth considering if local and/or staying at the hotel for a cheeky twilight round while the summer days are long
The course was beautiful
The only negative point was the bunkers were rock hard and had very little sand in them. Otherwise the course was in great condition
Excellent all round!
We booked a two ball at the last minute as it was a lovely day, and the deal was excellent at £15. The course is in great condition, the staff great, and we were even joined by a celebrity gold trick shot player for the last 9, can't wait to come again!
Course is in great condition
Beautiful course beautiful views and great value for money greens are true can’t fault them.
Really enjoyed this course
Played this course as a 1 ball. The play was a little slow to start with but the members happily let me play through and also had a nice little chat on the tee boxes. a lovely course that i really enjoyed playing, the greens and tee boxes are in great condition and i will 100% be back in a few weeks.
A nice surprise
First time at Staverton. A real surprise. It is a very well run and cared for course. A really good layout, although the first runs by the driving range, take care from stray balls!!! It is pretty hilly so be aware and bring your good legs! It has uphill, downhill, ball above and below feet shots. It also has plenty of dogleg holes and some blind shots, which I love. Hole 11 the signature downhill par 5 is great. My tee shot found the fairway and made its way a long way down, but still missed the green with my second! You can also have longish bunker shots onto the excellent greens. They are true and a great speed, with plenty of subtle breaks, particularly near the holes. It looks bang on track then moves at the end. Overall a really good course with a lovely bar overlooking the range and course. I will defiantly be back. Highly recommended.
Great course
I first played here in 2019 as part of a weekend golf break. Liked the course then and having played our weekend away last year at nearby Hellidon Lakes, we all preferred Staverton hence our return this July. Played the other day and already in great condition despite all of the rain we’ve had. A few wet spots on the course as expected but didn’t affect the round. Greens were a little slow but probably as we played Thursday before the pre-weekend cut. Overall great course, facilities and friendly staff.
Sociable Course
Very sociable and open course.
Staff extremely friendly from the club pro to the bar staff.
A good test of golf
Unfortunately the weather conditions were not good. It was catty only but due to my wife’s recent knee operation they allowed her an electric trolley. It was too slippery for her so we came off. The pro staff were great and gave us a voucher to return when the weather improves. Excellent service. Will look forward to it as I enjoy playing there
