Never been before - will be back
This is a bit further afield for my group but we were able to get a good tee time at short notice so we made the extra drive and it was absolutely worth it. Absolute gem of a facility, a good honest 18 hole layout which wasn't too challenging but had enough danger to certainly make you think. Plenty of interesting holes with elevation changes and slight doglegs. The on-course maps/signage could do with a refresh as there were a lot of hazards (including a substantial river) that aren't shown on the hole maps on each tee, which was a bit of an issue for first-timers. Fairways were hard and tight due to the recent weather but the greens had been well maintained and were cut a little long/slow, but were fair and rolled true.
Excellent driving range with powertees for a warm-up and a friendly welcome in the pro shop.
Great for the recent conditions
After days of trying to find a local tee time this became available. It is clearly a popular course and for the amount of traffic and with the recent wet weather the course conditions were good.
Really enjoyed the course it provided a great challenge and can’t wait to play in the sunnier months. Staff were friendly too.
Leisurely round
Early afternoon round, great course, fairways in super condition and enjoyed the game immensely, only slight comment is moving from green to the next tee could be better marked or even some signs.
Value for Money
Staff were friendly and helpful - managed to fit us into a busy Saturday afternoon schedule despite TeeOffTimes forgetting to confirm our tee time and it being reallocated. Course is interesting but not too challenging for mid to high handicappers. Greens were a bit variable but this was early in the season. They look like they could be quite good in the summer. Overall an enjoyable visit.
