Disgraceful

This course used to be lovely, not anymore .it's totally unplayable, from tees to the so called putting grees you will be totally disappointed, bunkers have more grass on them than the greens ...clubhouse is none existent ,there is no changing rooms nor any proper hot food ,for the price this place is charging there are some great other local courses like Market Harborough or priors hall in Corby.

Such a shame course has been run down into the ground

The course has the potential to be great but it’s obvious there’s a complete lack of investment. Ball cleaners were so old the bristles didn’t reach your ball but much much worse than that was the state of the greens. They were shocking with a mix of long grass, weeds and multiple bare patches on all of them!

Very nearly packed the round in and asked for a refund!

Disappointing

We have played this course many times over a number of years and I have never seen it in as poor condition as we have found it recently. Fairways are average but greens are in a very poor condition. Many bunkers are rock hard and desperately need fresh sand. Even the ball cleaners at the T boxes are useless as the brushes are old and there is never any water in them. Frankly its a huge disappointment. My sons both learnt to play golf here but the course looks underfunded and is deteriorating as a result. It desperately needs some TLC.

Lovely rural setting. Fairways and greens average. Course needs a lot of attention although we were playing during a very dry hot spell of weather.

No snow this time!

Last time the we played here as a family group (2 Easters ago) we had snow - this time we had rain and wind and more rain! We expected some surface water, but unfortunately most of the bunkers had become mini lakes and we found that we were having to try to putt through puddles of water. However, I do like the course as it provides plenty of challenges for me as a high handicapper, so i will return when the weather improves!

Easy going on the legs

Nicely presented course with some nice challenges. Bit soggy on the fairways but no more than expected for this time of year. Greens were in great condition. Great course if you like to avoid hills.

Good course.

Stoke Albany is a golf course which is fair, challenging and fairly technical. You have to put your golf ball in play because the rough is penal. It's not all smash it as far as you can. There is a variance with the bunkers. Ie new sand in some others not too good. Greens are tough to read. Few slopes and not as easy as it looks. Downside to this course is when you've finished. No cooked food no sandwiches no alcohol on tap. Only bottles and cans. They seriously need to look at this or they will not last long in business.
