The Heights
Well layed out, and well priced. Greens are in good shape.
Some fairways and T boxes under repair due to civil works been completed. Ground staff done well to put in fixes, but the wet weather is not helping their plight.
This is my go to course for a quick 9.
Despite all the heavy rain for days the course played very well.
Some greens were wet under foot, but still all playable.
Well worth the price we paid,
Value for money
Somewhat tricky layout and not the best course in the world, but greens and fairways currently in good condition. We had a hot deal at £16pp for 18 holes which is excellent value for money. It's s 9 hole course which you play twice, we used the back (white) tees for the first 9 and the slightly forward yellow tees for our 2nd 9.
We arrived 10 minutes before our tee time and because there was a long queue at the counter, went straight to the first tee and played 9 holes and then went back to the counter to tell the woman that we were there and that we had already paid via GolfNow. She was unfriendly and told us that we should have waited because it "is protocol", as if that would have made any difference. She needs a lesson in customer relations. Having said that the other staff were friendly.
Great value
Played here for the first time and booked 18 on the Heights course. Greens were in great condition! A couple of quirky holes where you needed to know where to aim but was really surprised by the course overall. Well worth the money (even better if you book it on a hot deal)
Waterlogged
We played this course under water. There were puddles in 4 of the 9 greens and the fairways were waterlogged. This course should not have been open for play. Inder normal conditions this would be a beautiful 9 hole.
Discretion is key!
We play this course every week, my disabled wife walks with us and loves it. Today when we were about to tee off , just me and our son, we were approached.and told my wife would have to wait in the car while we played due to the 2 only playing at one time rule! I explained my wife was a spectator & we all lived in the same home but he was rude and just said he would not waive the rule & we were to play as a pair & her wait in the car, or leave.
There is nothing on the site to say no spectators before we booked & as I say we play weekly with no problems normally. Upon looking at the rules on another nearby golf club which we have arranged to play at now, they say discretion is key! My wife walking the course would not have impacted on anyone else and was therefore not going against the rules. Such a shame that his rudeness is what we will remember now when thinking about this course.
