Great course to challenge yourself
I’ve been a couple of times at Sudbury GC and I love playing there. The practice areas are pristine and extremely useful. The course provides an incredible experience for the intermediate-advance player. Great opportunity to challenge yourself. Would definitely recommend it!
Windy day but fun
Fairways and greens in good condition especially given the recent storms. Surprisingly not that wet underfoot. Course was quiet as windy. Has some good long par 4s but with some space to hit driver. A fair bit of uphill and downhill which makes for interesting club selection and also good exercise. A great course to test your game and practice. Also interesting birds as near river.
Great Course but very slow pace.
As the title suggests. Great course but very very slow. I was a 1 ball and it took me 4 and a half hours to finish. I had to wait at each hole for minimum 10 mins and maximum 30 minutes whilst firstly 4 ball in front were playing at a snails pace and then they over took a 2 ball who were extremely slow. Eventually the 2 ball turned into a 1 ball from the 17th but he still decided to play 2 balls hitting 2 shots which was infuriating. After finishing the hoke he / they took 5 minutes to get off the green whilst finishing scoring and practising his shots. I think all were members and definitely a snooty club. However the course is wonderful and would play there again hoping not to behind these chaps again.
Rainy week.
Most challenging course in NW London on the app. Only worth it under £30. Good condition today considering the rainy week. One puddle on a green. Has been needing repair in parts for a while.
Hidden gem
Very nice ,challenging hillside course .will definitely play this one again and I will recommend it to all my friends..
Pretty with pitchmarks
First of all, Subury is a beautiful course and generally well kept. There's a nice level of variety through the course and some pretty challenging and narrow holes. My only qualm was the number of un-repaired pitch marks. For such a nice club you'd think the members and players would respect the course more than they clearly do. That being said, I had a lovely time and I would recommend this club if you're in the area. Lovely place.
Top course and so close to central London
Just a 10 out of 10 easy to book great welcome and a well laid out course. All holes are very different and have their own character. Then retire to the clubhouse for a good selection of food and drink. Well worth a visit.
