Sweetwoods Park Golf Club

Good layout, very hilly and generally in good condition. Greens are ok - have been sanded recently. Quite a few temporary tees and looks like they are carrying out a fair bit of work to get ready for the summer. Will come back and play again in the summer when it has been fully restored.

Great course with some challenging holes. Will go back in summer when not so muddy. Would have been nice to be warned that it is carry only though, this information was not updated on the website. Price is probably a bit steep for carry only in muddy conditions, something to consider!

I used to be a member here for over 8 years, having left 4 years ago I like to come back and play it every now and then.

Course layout, obviously as fantastic as usual, however the condition of the fairways and the greens were a bit disappointing. I know we've had a fair bit of rain, but not alot over the past week. The fairways were quite poorly scarred and the greens were very slow. Unfortunately poor etiquette also meant there was many pitch marks on certain greens. Poor standards from your members out in the morning.

I was also suprised to see that even though I booked 2pm on golf now, when I arrived to the course I was allocated 2.50pm. I managed to move to 2.20pm however it was a little inconvenient as I'd got there quite early.

It is a while since playing this course so it was interesting to see how it played.
There has obviously been a problem with some of the fairways and, although they have been re-sown, some still aren’t in great shape.
Greens were generally good despite the fact that they were being worked on whilst we were there. However, we did find the pace variable.
Overall, a pretty good experience though.

First class course,greens excellent.staff in clubhouse warm and friendly will be going again only one criticism a few holes have a long walk between tees

Lovely round. Pro/starter very friendly, Bar staff friendly. Great value compared to some other courses in the area, which tend to overcharge. Would play again.

Great course. Very reasonably priced. Too many courses in the area are inclined to overcharge, so full marks to this one. The pro was friendly which is always welcome when arriving at a strange course..We would definitely play again.

We are a party of four senior friends who meet for an annual golf day at different courses in the south east, ages 60 to 84, and 14 to 20 handicaps, one of us visiting from South Africa; this was our first time at Sweetwoods Park and we will definitely visit again. Everybody at the club was friendly and welcoming, the course was in excellent condition and the after-golf meal on the terrace was lovely and served by the very attentive chef. One minor comment is that a couple of additional green to tee direction signs would help visitors.

Great course, superb greens we will be back to play in a couple of weeks.

Very enjoyable round of golf. Course was quiet and in good condition. Greens running very true. It took us just over 3.5 hours which is a nice pace of play.
Will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed our round at sweet wood, we will definitely be back. Greens and fairways were superb. Staff at pro shop was very helpful.
