Cotswold gem
A really attractive heathland course, with fairways banked by gorse and trees, and some great views over the Cotswolds. Quite short - we got round in 3 1/4 hrs - but with plenty of variety including some tight fairways especially on the back nine. Several bunkers were GUR, but all the greens were open, well-maintained and quite speedy. Navigation from the eighth to ninth holes could be better signposted but overall a very enjoyable outing.
Can't wait to go back
Friendly and helpful greeting in the pro-shop. Lovely bacon sandwich on decent bread before we went out.
The layout was interesting. No 2 holes the same - the 1st is probably the only soft hole. You always feel like you are playing your own hole. A few of the holes are a little bit open around the greens but there are plenty of tight drives to make up for it.
course in excellent condition for any time of year, never mind late October. Some of the views were fantastic and I cannot wait to go back and play here again, especially when they finish the work on some of the bunkers.
