Friendly reception.
Nice layout, tricky greens, all staff very welcoming. Great day out. Thanks.
Really nice round
A nice course with some beautiful views of the Chilterns. A few of the holes are basic 'there and back' across open (but undulating) parkland. But these are compensated for by some interesting elevated tees and plenty of challenge provided by the sloping fairways and some very unforgiving greens.
A fair challenge
Good course, a bit quirky in places so would be good to play again. Staff not overly welcoming though in pro-shop or bar. Bar pricey.
Fun little course
This is a fun little course with a few
Quirky holes and significant elevation changes, but was in great condition. Pace of play was a little slow as I was on my own and behind a members competition so wasn't overly bad considering.
Excellent course and very friendly staff Will come back for sure
Superb Course
Excellent course, well kept, superb surroundings, great facilities with breath-taking views, thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon's golf.
Temple Golf Club
Course was in great condition, greens in particular with a good pace, cut short and true roll. Greens were very undulating, with many greens tiered and probably the hardest element of the course to get used to.
I would definitely advise playing off the whites as course can be a little short off the yellows.
Some great views, interesting holes and a fun round of golf.
Good round
Good course, condition good.
Pretty tough with 3 par 3's at 230 yards.
Good value after 3pm pretty quiet.
Fabulous course
Good day ,fantastic course conditions , friendly staff I will definitely recommend and return.
Easter monday
Enjoyable round at leisurely pace for a bank holiday. Some waiting but otherwise course in good condition.
A good find
A well kept course, with some challenging holes. A little tightly packed in but great views over the chilterns.
Right price at £27.50, wouldn't pay much more though.
Watch out for the par 3. The marker is a back post at the back of a sink hole green not a marker to go over a blind hill!
a pleasant afternoon
Good value for money . Course was in good condition . pace of play was only slow because of BB& O junior medal competition going off in front of us. The course has some challenging par 3's ( 3 over 200 yards from the yellow tees ). course has some good views .
Loved the course some tricky holes, but in excellent condition
We played this course on a Sunday afternoon , loved the whole experience from the friendly Pro shop which was very welcoming and friendly. The course condition was great for the time of year, and the greens were in good condition.
Had a drink in the clubhouse after, and staff were very helpful and friendly, would highly recommend playing Temple, and we will certainly be going back
Cracking course
Just a great course. Greens in fantastic knick and stunning views throughout
nice course but slow round
course was generally in good condition but still playing off mats on some tees
course layout is good and was challenging in windy conditions
round was slow due to a large competition which we were not made aware of when booking
Excellent day's golf despite playing early March!
Course is hilly but as (by & large!) you are playng along the gradients you don't arrive at your ball gasping for breath. Greens & fairways were in the sort of condition many courses won't achieve until late May - great! No water obstacles on the course but several 'blind' holes which keep the interest up (and several will become much more difficult when the trees green up). We copied the 'Pro's Tips' off their website which avoided us doing some silly things! Despite recent substantial rain the course was very well drained. There was only one temporary green in play and many of the bunkers were in need of a sand top-up and there were very few of the tees off mats all of which was anyway to be expected given the time of year.
Clubhouse is functional and welcoming with great views over the easy-looking (but it turns out, quite challenging!) 18th. Bar prices not cheap! Good changing facilities and the Pro Shop seemed well stocked and was welcoming and helpful.
Wet and windy in the aftermath of Storm Doris, this was the first time we had played Temple. Pace of play was good with only occasional waits for the party ahead. The course was well looked-after and the greens were excellent. As high-handicappers, we found the course quite a challenge, due in part to the lateral slopes on some fairways leaving you with a downward lie. The greens were in excellent condition but some were undulating and care was needed not to leave a longish second (or third) putt. A friendly member told us that in the summer, they let the rough grow quite high so may be even tougher later in the year. However, we really enjoyed playing it and will definitely be back.
This course is in excellent condition
This is an excellent course in excellent condition. Some tees are fairly close to either the previous green or fairway so it is probably ideally a course for the middle to lower handicap golfers. Ideally it could do with providing some "next tee" signs as for visitors it it is not always obvious in some areas where the next tee is and there is no course map on the scorecard.
Could be a nice course but fairway condition was poor.
I had great hopes for this course and the first hole was fine, long downhill. After this the condition of the course got worse, the fairways were extremely rough, sometimes it was hard to work out where the fairway ended and the semi rough started. Lots of loose grass made it a complete mess, in many spots it was better to be off the fairway as the grass was better. There were two temporary greens, the one on the 15th was OK and it was located on apron of normal green, however the one on the 16th was a complete disgrace. It was located in the fairway proper and no attempt had been made to make it anything like a suitable green. Putting was a complete joke here.
Sorry to say I would not return here.
