Very slow & short
Back 9 closed & front nine had been maintained which was not mentioned at time of booking
Pace of play extremely slow & nobody lets you through which resulted in me running out of time
Course is very short
Bone dry buts it’s been an extreme summer
Mapledurham Golf Club
Course was in great condition, always enjoy playing here. Really good golf club & course
Gem of a course
We received a friendly welcome when signing in before some practice on the well maintained putting green. The course was in great condition and the greens were the best we have played on in the Oxfordshire area. Hole maps and clearly displayed hole signs are the only things that would improve the course. Highly reccommend it. It may be a par 69 but offers plenty of challenges for amateurs and the more experienced golfer.
Teed off at midday as a 2 ball and barely anyone on the course.
Excellent fairways, bunkers with lots of sand and consistent greens, which could have been a bit faster for my liking.
A bit expensive for £31 but the speed of play helped.
Solid Short Course
Mapledurham is a slight step up from your average course. Always well maintained and with a varied layout it's 18 holes are rarely a tough walk. The front nine are reasonably challenging however the back starts off with a number of fairly simple, short par 4s which will help the scorecard before going back to more of a challenge by the 15th.
The club house contains the facilities you'd expect from a small leisure centre with good food and loads of space to rest afterwards and catch sport on tv.
