A Picturesque Course
Despite some of the negative comments, we had a thoroughly enjoyable round. We felt the course layout was good, it is an attractive course with some challenging holes. The only thing that let it down was the condition of the greens and there was a temporary green which we couldn't see the need for. Despite this, we would definitely play this course again.
No idea why this course is open. Greens in unplayable condition, temporary flag in the middle of the fairway, club clearly has no pride in its course and what paying players are going to think. Complete waste of money, also to top of a bad experience the club house stinks of smoke / cigarettes so can’t even drown your misery with a pint. Very disappointed and would not recommend, has some real potential to be a lovely course as some of the holes are interesting, but only if maintained properly.
Worst condition of a golf course I have ever seen! Most greens were more like 1970s football pitches!
This place has some really interest holes and long par 3s but really ruined by zero maintenance which is a shame.
Can’t believe that this place is going to last much longer as looks like it’s completely out of cash.
The course was in very bad conduction. Fairways longish grass and brown muddy patches. Greens were more brown than green. The worst greens I have ever seen.
Played this course for the first time with a friend yesterday. We managed to get a hot deal tee which meant it was only £14 each compared to the normal £20. We soon found out why - the course layout is really good but unfortunately it just hasn’t been looked after. The tee boxes were poor and the greens were the worst I’ve ever seen! Such a shame because it really would be a nice course it it wasn’t for this.
Extremely poor greens
If you want to increase your handicap and knock all confidence out of your game this is the course for you.
Lots of litter and not well looked after.
This is my 6th visit to Kent & Surrey golf course, the course has variety with different hazards no two holes the same, great layout and just a lovely course to play, the Greens are not a 100% at the moment which is understandable given the weather and with the prices being so cheap you cant really complain, the staff are all very helpful and friendly, one staff member was even nice enough to drive round offering bottles of water because of the heat, I will definitely be back to play another round soon, I recommend trying this Golf course.
Lovely course shame about the greens
The course is superbly laid out interesting holes but once you get to the greens oh dear
Without doubt the worst greens I’ve ever seen. No grass, splits everywhere you can’t putt or chip on properly
This has to be one of the best 3 courses for design, green contours and risk and reward I’ve been to, unfortunately the tee boxes are ruined and the greens along with approaches resemble the top of Ben Nevis. Please please fix this and bring this course back to it’s obvious former glory!!!! But please leave the spooky bayou looking pond on hole 2/3 as it is.....
Don't play here
despite the current problems with Covid this course has clearly been shown no love. The fairways could have done with cutting and the greens consisted of scorched grass and were littered with debris and holes. The layout of the course is really good with a nice mix of lengths but sadly due to neglect it is not a pleasant experience. I for one will not be returning and once there realised why it was so cheap.
Kent and Surrey
Could be a very good course to play needs work greens not great. Would play again.
Have played here before and my views have always been, what a great layout and picture perfect piece of land to play golf on with some great holes.....here comes the But.....the tees were worse than the rough, and as for the greens, not sure what to say, really disappointed, the worst I've seen....because as a course it could be fantastic....such a shame
Good Day Out but greens in dire need of repair
We had a great day out on the course as amateur players.
However, the greens were almost unplayable as they were super dry with only ~30% patchy grass coverage. Putts definitely did not roll true and would bobble around. Maintenance also required on the tee boxes and fairways could do with a cut.
Layout and variety of holes was great. Staff were friendly and overall as “not very serious” players we enjoyed our day!
BROWN GREENS !!!
This course could be fantastic
Lay out is amazing and the whole course is a pleasure to play....until you get to the Greens...well Browns!
Due to no sprinklers All the Grass on the Greens are completely dead and are riddled with deep cracks and holes.
Shocking and ruins your game. Staff did not really seem to accept how bit an issue this was and were happy to make accuses about the conditions
Such a shame
Do not play
Greens worse than pitch and putt. Holes no grass bobbles.
Tee boxes un kept longer than some rough.
Highly advise to avoid. Would get a redund if poss.
