It was nice to come back.
It’s been while since I played the Oxfordshire but got good deal on tee off times. Tee box, greens are very good condition. Grounds are still wet but it’s understandable after all these rain we have had. Love the course, still think best one in the area.
Guys in pro shop are unfriendly, no care. Wanted have a drink afterwards but the bar is closed which was unusual.
A must play
The Oxfordshire is a fantastic course with similarities to the London Club in its set-up and layout style. undulating fairways, water hazards, risk and reward holes, tricky par 3s, and excellent greens even at this time of year. The pace of play was good even with walking between holes being quite long, but still got around in about 4hrs. The holes with water in play are fantastic and varied with water on Par3, 4 and 5s. The signature holes are excellent. The fairways were a little muddy but otherwise course is in good condition. The clubhouse attached to the hotel is impressive and facilities are excellent. Drinks and food are a little pricey being a hotel.
Excellent experience
A beautiful American style course. Handsome and challenging with a great variety of holes and options on how to play each hole. The greens were good given the time of year and the fairways and tees in excellent condition.
The course has a very good layout with some tricky holes. Well worth the £26 I paid to play it and would certainly go back and play again.
Big course
Wide open fairways vunerable to the wind ,excellent greens well protected by bunkers and by water on the par 3s
Some outstanding holes
Excellent course in superb condition and great value for money given the 4-ball deal we got (via teeofftimes.co.uk). Well worth a visit if you've not been before, or not for a while (as in my case). Some magnificent holes over and/or around lakes and a good amount of elevation change to make it really interesting. Quite exposed/open so typically quite breezy/windy, which adds to the challenge and interesting. They were very flexible in allowing us to move our tee-time due to bad weather, despite us being on the special non refundable deal. Many tee options available so suitable for all standards of golfer. I'll be back for sure.
Best course in the area
The Oxfordshire is truly one of the best courses in the south of England. A real challenge but beautiful at the same time. Highly recommended to anyone who hasn't played it yet - and you have to go for it on the 8th!
The Oxfordshire
Had a superb experience playing this course,
Very friendly pro in the shop who new we were coming through tee off times app
The course is great, massive championship greens which are in great condition, can't fault it, played off the white tee's which is a great test of golf . They have yellow tees for a shorter course, blue tees which look awesome and black tees that look impossible.
All in all a great place to play golf give it a go .
Nice and windy
Lovey course, presentation was excellent, condition was really good.
Some really good holes on the course, really enjoyed the par 3's.
Bar prices are horrendous and would put me off from stopping at the hotel on site.
Oxfordshire the best course I've played at but slow pace of play
This course is a championship course is in a condition like it should be on the tour the only problem is to many bandits play it so the pace of play is slow this needs to be sorted maybe bring in a handicap rule - but that a side one of the best course in the Uk
Simply stunning
Can't recommend this course highly enough. First class in every way. Offers a great challenge to all levels. 18 cleverly designed golf holes offering stunning views.
Top Course
Great course with a championship feel about it. Really friendly staff and welcome.
Superb
Great course and layout, lots of mature trees amongst the sculpted course. Excellent use of the gradient changes to create illusions of distance and perspective, a real thinking persons course.
Greens not as slick as I would have thought for such a dry period and post PGA tournament, is it still early season?
Windy which added to the challenge.
Just loved the layout,
Love this course.
Just love this course. It's very challenging but not scarily so and a reasonable score very achievable but you need your whole game. It's always windy but that's part of the challenge.
Great Course but Tough in the Wind
lovely clubhouse and facilities
pro shop (Ben) was very helpful and accomodating
Course was in great nick
In very strong wind we had, it was a real challenge, but great fun!
Really great course and awesome setting
Always delivers! So many fantastic holes with good challenges! True greens for Feb which is rare.
Last minute booking....
Despite the course being frozen in parts for the first 5 holes and under a cloud of thick fog it was still evident that it was of the calibre expected of a first class facility such as this. The green were so true, rough fairly cut but punishing, tee blocks well cared for etc. The layout is extremely well thought out with variety on each hole and scoring opportunities in the right places. That said, the back is tougher than the front and caught me out a few times, the elevated greens really do play beyond their yardage. I'd definitely play again in the summer if not before.
