Player at Lyman Orchards Golf Club

Was pretty disappointed because I love the Jones course. Conditions were good, scenery was enjoyable but the layout and design was pretty rough. A lot of blind shots and wild change in elevation. Some holes were a complete mystery. Miserable to walk! Sometimes 10-15 just to get to the next tee. First time playing was rough but I could see if someone knows the course well and rides it would be a lot more enjoyable.

Going from one hole the next if you were to walk is a hike. Without a cart playing this course would probably take about five hours. The greens need some serious attention as they have ant hills in them. For the price the greens should not have any kind of insects on them.

Fun but odd course. Lots of little hazards, elevation changes and doglegs. Couldn't use driver on most holes as the landing areas were too short in yardage. Rough was lush, fairways were in pretty good shape. Lots of ball marks on the greens, either un-repaired or poorly repaired. Tee boxes were pretty scarred up. Course clearly gets a lot of traffic. Overall it requires a good deal of thought and a good knowledge of your club distances.

Loved it. Can't wait to come back. Everyone friendly...from the cashier to Starter to Ranger.
Pub food was excellent

Having played the course before would have been advantageous as, some greens and yard markers were out of visibility. The hills were a fun feature, and played a role in shot placement.

Had. a lot of fun with this course. not a course where you only have to use 3 clubs. Challenging corners and hills make it a fun course to utilize the bag!

The course is very nice, fairways were in great condition as were the greens. Played on a Thursday, the play was slow, waited 4 or 5 minutes on every hole, no one out trying to move things along. Not a course I'd play on a regular basis but once or twice a year we can put up with the pace. The last time we played this course, we had a six hour round on a Sunday with a 5-som in front of us, Lyman refused to break them up.

This a beautiful course many hole to be played. Challenging yet exciting those who have played many times. One of the most favorite in the state. The staff are unbelievable and accommodating to your needs.

rough should be trimmed so that balls could be found. We are not pros and do hit many balls off the fairway.

Have played these courses many time the past 20 years - they both get so much play it’s hard to keep them perfect. This round though many of the tee boxes were in rough shape. The greens were good but really slow. Overall it was what I expected - not great but a solid round for the money.
