Great course but poor variation
With only one par 5 and only one par 3 on the back nine it’s a good course but would benefit from more variation.
Mostly very good condition. Greens very good indeed. Some bunkers were quite stony and not always raked.
Might be too short for some - several holes are rather short par 4s, but others are quite long par 3s. Paid £19 each, for a very quiet weekday in the middle of summer and got on slightly early.
Great park course
Enjoyed the course. Great condition very well maintained for a park (public) course. Some tricky holes to keep you honest. Nice outside area for drinks on the 18th. Would definitely play again.
Fun round
Great course, only issue is that some green to tees are a bit of. Hike.
Late Autumn Day out
Conditions were heavy (not surprising given the recent rain) with astroturf tees used to protect them. This meant the course was shorter than in the summer - impressively the scorecards provided were accurate - I assume they have winter and summer cards.
Good fun and a very good bar to relax in which stayed open beyond dark.
Great value for money
Brilliant value for money. Greens in good shape and receptive, fairways generally very good - but patchy in areas but nothing too bad. Course is a good fun challenge. Not the longest but with some sharp doglegs and tree lined you need to play smart. For the money paid, it’s an absolute steal. Could legitimately charge a lot more. Would absolutely recommend
Dissatisfied
Normally the course is in excellent condition for this time of year. But I was very disappointed with the condition of the course. The fairways were very patchy and bare the greens were very bumpy also full of pitchmarks which isn't the golf clubs fault. The bunkers were in awful condition not raked at all. So overall I was very disappointed with the course
One of my favourite courses.
Played here 4 times this year. Good value and great staff
Great day at The South Buckinghamshire
Coarse getting in good condition after the drought, greens were excellent as was the staff at the pro shop. Thanks to the two ladies selling cakes and large gin and tonics for charity at the first hole.
Definitely coming back soon..
Great course. Slowest round ever
This is a great course for all abilities. Really well looked after with quick greens. Only negative was it took me and a friend as a 2 ball 5 hours, 40 minutes to get around!! Probably just bad luck to get behind 2 slow 4 balls but did make the last 4 holes a real slog.
Would still recommend.
