Great condition course for a November round

First time I have played this course, as a high handicap player I found the course challenging but very playable for a novice golfer.
The course is well drained and the water well managed to create some interesting hazards and an attractive over water hole 7th.
It would help to have a map on the scorecard or hole diagrams at the tees, due to the undulations it was not always obvious if some holes were straight or had slight dog legs plus some hidden bunker traps to catch you out.
The course is divided by a service road and the back nine across the road has a different feel, a little telitubby land finishing with a tricky 18th next to a small waterfall feature.
It felt nice to be out on a sunny autumnal day and will certainly come back again.
They helpful man in the proshop offered a preferred visitors card for future visits. Followed by a nice pint of London Pride on the well landscaped terrace

Very good in poor conditions

Some courses would have been closed and it was certainly boggy with lots of surface water. However the greens were in excellent conditions, as were 17 out of 18 tee boxes. The whole course is a decent challenge and the 18th is certainly a tricky one to navigate.

We all agreed this was probably the best course we could play in the conditions and would recommend it as a winter choice. But we will also come back in the Summer.

Nice Track, great Greens

We played this course on a windy July day. Fairways were good and greens even better.

Decent clubhouse with really friendly staff and it’s nice to be able to ring ahead on the 9th for your half way snack and drink.

All round decent value and worth a visit.

Brilliant course near London

Beautiful course, very well maintained and fast greens. Bunkers could have been better. The course is quite forgiving on mishits, the 2nd cut is light so easy to find the ball. Some challenging holes due to interesting tee positions, but not very long so if you stay on the fairway it's very forgiving and a confidence booster. Fairways are well maintained and greens are impeccable

Great course

Great course in the summer when we went. Grass wasn’t dried out and conditions were very good. Greens were great. A couple of fun holes over water and course was not difficult.
No driving range to warm up, but have been told they are building one.

Fantastic in Winter

I have played at Thorney Park many times over the years, but never before in Winter. I can recommend the course as the greens are amazing 3- Dec. It shows what forward thinking greenstaff can do. Well done. The surfaces were quick and true. Brilliant. The rest of the course is always good, a little wet after the deluges recently (Nov ‘22). Lively bar in the clubhouse made us feel welcome. Brilliant, and thanks Thorney Park.

Great day out

I played on a Friday morning with 3 members of my family. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great round in the sun. The course was in good condition and we got round without having to wait once. Great little course if you are looking to play near Heathrow.

Friendly club

An enjoyable round played at good pace as there were no hold ups. A nice course with some interesting water clearances. Quite scenic and good use of space given where it is located.

Had a great afternoon on a course that was excellent that should not be as challenging as it turned out.
