Wouldn't play there again
Course conditions awful. Has to be one the worst course I've been too. Greens are in an absolute state and the fairways are awful.
The bog
Between the bunks that have now converted to ponds and the moats protecting the greens. The course was not in a fit state to play. Even though we paid £13 each, I still feel robbed.
We will not be returning.
shocking course.......
where do i start....no signage, semi rough very long, looks like no drainage, tees uneven mud bath, greens are pitted and never been looked after .never played a wet and boggy course this bad. navigating to the next tee very difficult. looks like track suits are the rage. £12.99 deal on golfnow should of been £1.29. think i would rather take up stamp collecting than play this course again.....on a good note the pint of ipa in the clubhouse was great....
What can I say
What a shame this could be a great course but the slow play is terrible due mainly to course layout shared tees but what really got me was the sheer lack of signs to next hole and is was not straight forward
Why can't they invest in a few signs
Other golfers on course said the same seems it's a standard joke a real poor show
You have greens with tees offs right behind them so boarding on dangerous hence slow play
Bit of a shame as the course itself is very varied and interesting condition was good overall
Tired and very unkept greens and bunkers
Tired and very unkept greens and bunkers
Tees ok fairly
Fairways poor
Greens missy lile a temporary tankard
Good value
Challenging short course, nice mix of flat and hilly holes. Layout is a little confusing with limited signage, greens need work. £10 though is great value for18 holes.
Staff friendliness
The staff were very friendly and helpful. When I arrived today I checked the website to see if I could use my trolley, but there was nothing saying I couldn't. I was told I couldn't use it when I arrived so I only had a cart bag with me. The gentleman behind the counter let me use his bag which he obviously didn't have to so I'm very grateful.
The course made no sense
The golf course was very poorly signed, and each tee box was a long and complicated walk from the last hole. I got lost many times and the little map on the scorecard does little to help. Many of the hole layouts were very confusing, so you don’t know where to hit the ball. The greens all seem to be domed shaped and on a high plateau, so regardless of where you land ball nothing would hold the green and you would have a difficult uphill chip. This was coupled with the grass around the green being very thick so you could not make consistent contact with the ball.
I paid £10, which I thought was a fair price, but I would much rather pay a bit more to go somewhere better. This course was poor by most standards.
Tilsworth In Autumn
Played Tilsworth recently. Course and greens good condition even though had been raining day before.
Not surprisingly there are leaves on fairways which sometimes hide the ball a little; what do you expect for Autumn!
Keen price more than made up for it.
Fantastic value for money ***
The course was outstanding value for money at £13 on Golf Now. However the layout of the course was rather confusing. There was a lack signage to guide you to the next hole. On a number of occasions we had to walk in different directions in order to tee off. The course was in great condition, greens were well cut and maintained. The staff in the Pro shop were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely course great staff good vslue
Course layout
Generally in fair condition but greens in need of work layout is horrendous desperately in need of guides to get you from the Green to the next tee and have played there twice both times course nearly deserted but had very slow players in front who did not know etiquette of golf and would not let us through
Friendly and Good value
Nice course in good condition, some tees don’t follow naturally so some signage would help, but overall a great little course with friendly staff in pro shop and clubhouse
