First time playing Warkworth Golf Club

After a few days of constant rain the course was in immaculate condition, greens were still fast and extremely well looked after. Very scenic up on the top holes looking over the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed playing there and will definitely be going back.

Hidden gem

Stayed at Warkworth many times while playing other 18 hole local course's but never gave this course a thought. Was very pleasantly surprised at what I discovered, a lovely 9 holes with great greens and fairways with fantastic views of the coastline. Also really friendly and helpful staff. Great price as well. Will definitely return.

We had a great time, Paul and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed playing this links course, and afterwards had a delicious toastie and talked to members of the club and other visitors. A good fun day.

Lovely Links

Really nice course in superb condition. The best greens I’ve played in a long time. Course is a challenge but great to play.
Value for money is great. Food and beer very good too. Friendly staff and decent golf. What else would you want?
I was thinking about changing my membership from a different course and will seriously think about membership here.

Warkworth

nice course, nice layout, pity about the local rule where you are asked to play fairway shots from the semi-rough to protect the course.
Still an enjoyable experience

Frozen ground but dry and open.

Ground was rock hard but greens in good condition. Probably one of the few courses open due to all the snow. It was dry though due to good drainage and links location

Full price for Semi Rough Play

Pros:
Long, challenging par 3s.
Some narrow, tricky fairways.
Lots of parking spaces.

Cons:
Full price for a round but can't play from fairways.
Greens littered with pitchmarks.
Rude members who clearly don't like visitors.

Quaint and beautiful little gem

This course is set in a lovely location overlooking beautiful beach and sea views. It feels like it is a short course but it does have challenges. What is not to like here. Always good value.
