Links course with lovely greens

Chilly weather but the course played well. Greens lush and true. A few fairways were looking a bit ragged with unrepaired divots. Some gorse/undergrowth had been cleared with made some holes easier. Course quite flat so it's an easy walk. Some bunkers are deep/steep so best avoided, although the sand in them is good. Only downside to our play was that I was hit by a ball from the pair following us with barely an apology.

First time played

Visiting Devon to see my son whom now lives in Dawlish, I took this opportunity to play this course, as I will be in the area again in the future. For a December day, the weather could not have been better, pleasantly warm, although cloudy, I was in waterproof pants, and just an all weather top and v neck woolly jumper, I was well warm enough. The course on the first and last fairways looks a bit worn, but after the first hole, the rest of the course was in superb condition for the time of year, the greens were in fantastic condition, all of them, and putted really well and true. The bunkers though, I only got in 1 of them though, are very punishing and best if you take an easy option to get your ball out. Following my round I had coffee and a sandwich in the club house where I found the staff very friendly, also the secretary, on my arrival, was very nice and helpful. I will certainly return again, I play off 18 handicap and scored 30 stableford point, which I was reasonably happy with playing a new course, also I did not score on 4 holes!!! I can not wait to be able to play again.

Amazing course

Beautiful course with they best greens I've ever seen. Tricky at times but not stupidly long so attackable. Well worth the £14 it cost me for 18 holes always book a tee time because it gets busy and also they best breakfast I've had in the club house will be coming back and maybe becoming a member
