Nice Course

We were surprised to see this course appear on Golf Now for just £25 each teeing off at 15:30 on a Wednesday afternoon so despite having already planned to play somewhere else we booked here as that's a bargain for what we heard is a lovely course. We checked-in in the pro shop with a friendly and welcoming member of staff who gave helpful directions and told us to tee off the 1st whenever we're ready. We arrived at the busy 1st tee box to a queue of members and joined the queue which meant we teed off around 15 mins after our paid-for time, but this was not an issue. Most members were chatty and helpful and gave advice on how to play the 1st hole. However, one member thought it was very odd how we'd managed to book a tee time and walked off to the pro shop to question why we were there. After this moment everything was fine and we had an enjoyable relaxing round. Tee boxes and greens were in pristine condition and the fairways were good. A different layout to many courses which made the round more fun and some stunning holes. This is a very nice course which we'd love to play again but we get the feeling a courtesy call in advance would be ideal just so members are not surprised to see a couple of visitors. Overall a positive enough experience and one member questioning us did not ruin our afternoon/early evening

Nice greens

Overall very good, few dodgy bounces even on the fairway but we have had a dry spell.
I will definitely be playing this course again (twilight price is very reasonable).

Slow

Really slow round of golf, no course etiquette. Stuck behind single players and four balls.

Course in excellent condition, greeting from pro on arrival could not have been friendlier. Nice that the clubhouse was still open after 9pm to enjoy a well earned pint!

Great course

Course is in great condition. Tee boxes well maintained, beautiful fairways and fast, true greens. All of which help in making a good round.
Pace of play was good (just over 4 hours for a 4-ball), staff in pro shop & the bar were all friendly and helpful.
If you haven't played here before it is well worth a visit

Waterlooville Golf Course

It was a nice course, with many long holes. The course was a good overall condition. There were a few tricky holes with water to avoid. There is a strict dress code, which is worth checking ahead of playing.

Personally, I am struggling to justify £40 for the round, I cannot see why there is such a high green fee for this course? I have played many other courses, which were better quality and cheaper.

Luckily, I managed to avoid getting stuck behind a large society group.

A long wait.

To start, poorly marked car park. Long queues from the first tee which only got longer as the round went on. Poor mats for tee's on some holes and the greens were very bumpy. Staff were very pleasant shame the course was not.

One to play!

After arriving 10 mins late for our tee time the professional staff were very accommodating and got us all out slightly later.
The course in my opinion was in great condition and a good test. The fairways were good although they had just been given the autumn maintenance.
Some holes were off matts but the were ok as matts go.
The greens were good and ran true.
On the whole I enjoyed my visit and the course is well worth a visit.
