Warm welcome at a Great course
Ticks all the boxes, a fantastic place to play golf and / or meet up over food & drinks.
good value for money
Booked a hot deal at £14 plus admin fee for 2 . We teed off at 1pm on a sunny Friday afternoon and we were not held up or a four ball played in the group behind and it didnt seem busy . The course was in generally in good condition apart from the bunkers which were not well maintained . The course is fairly flat and the fairways are generous the rough was not too penal. Greens were a bit patchy in places but the ball rain fairly true.
The clubhouse is basic as it is constructed from portacabins but the service from both the pro and steward was very good . The practice range is very near the car park. One negative was that the tee mats are all very worn and detract from the enjoyment and in need of replacement.
We didn't see a short game area but the putting green is near the first tee and there appears to be another practice area located near the second tee. The car park was nearly empty when we finished our round which suggests the course is less busy in the afternoons . I understand from others that drainage can be a problem in the winter so perhaps it is best to play this course in the summer. If you are looking for a nice away day then you could do a lot worse than play this course
Course playing well
