Blooming heck what a course. Bit long though lads back 9 I had to trudge about a fair bit.

A sunny spring day with no wind tends to make any round of golf feel better but West Herts is a real find. Friendly private club with a very well maintained course and beautiful greens that put like the practice green! Like any Colt course plenty of bunkers and dog legs protecting the greens. A pint and a snack on the terrace completed a lovely day.

The fairways where mainly dry mud and in March is a worrying sign hate to think how they gonna hold up in summer . There was one hole out off action which wasn’t warned about because they set up a temporary 80 yard hole to cover there backs . We paid £55 each which the layout is worth it but conditions wise there’s plenty off £30 courses on tee off times that put it to shame .

Beautiful course, offering lots of different challenges in a layout that very rarely sees you parallel to the hole you’ve just played. The greens have just been sanded and there is extensive work on one or two holes (par 3 10th or 11th in particular sticks in the memory) but even that didn’t take away from the enjoyment - in fact, I can’t wait to see the finished article. At £50+ I was expecting premium quality, but it was worth every penny. The par 3 15th or 16th (can’t remember which) is very odd...you shoot into a massive canyon where you can’t see the flag, the green, anything really!!! One of the many interesting quirks to this great great course

Overall experience is positive; from Pro Shop, members and course layout. My friends and I had a wonderful round of golf and I must commend the green keeper for doing a great job at tee box, greens, bunkers and around the greens. Unfortunately, the fairways still suffer from last hot summer. It has many brown patches and it's extremely muddy. It is probably why no electric trolley are allowed even though it didn't rain for the last 5 days. The negative is the cleaning point after game. The club needs to invest in a new pressure pump. It was impossible to remove mud from shoes and pull trollies.

First time playing. Would go back for sure. Great course. Challenging but not overly difficult for amateurs.

The green is good, but the fairway is somehow withered.

Played this course for the first time and undoubtedly this is my favourite course so far. Greens were true and superb and the fairways were amazing. Members were friendly and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this course to all golfers with a decent handicap.

very enjoyable course to play, was in excellent condition. front 9 greens were little bumpy with sands but very minor issues. great layout amongst the trees. tree lined fairways, wide enough for weekend golfers. 50 mins drive but well worth it
