Steve Clarke
Quite short course, but can be quite challenging, greens kept in good condition, overall very good value for money golf course
Great practice 180yds and under. And easy walking!
Shame about the very slow pace of play (especially for a weekday afternoon), though this may have been due to golfers without a tee-time/not paying for a round? Walking was easy, so no excuses there!
The course is a very interesting test of course management and practice of your game inside 180yds, as most tee shots require an accurately placed iron followed by another: Overall in great condition for the price except for around the greens, which were excellent.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great practice facilities and well stocked pro shop.
Poor course but ok value if under £15
They seem to be taking an age to open the new course. In the meantime this remains half a golf course. Some holes are ok and feel like a proper course. Some holes are in awful condition and are akin to hitting on a field. See photo of hole on the front 9! Some greens were quite good, others were unplayable. It’s ok for a bit of practice for under £15 using golf now but don’t pay at the kiosk or they charge you £26.oh and the range is now closed AGAIN until august. Seriously who thought it was a good idea to redo the range field in peak season??
Going through refurbishment
It was ok considering temporary lay out and greens
MR pickering
Greens very good for this time of year tee boxes good would renomend this golf course
First timer
Been wanting to play Wrexham Park course for a few months now. Finally got to play it. Some big Par 4 mixed in with some lovely par 3s. Over all experience very good and a fair tee off price. Staff very warm and welcoming.
enjoyable day out
I have played on the blue course a number of time and enjoyed my outing every time. With the winter approaching there was some work being carried out and temporary tee off mats laid which were new to me. Otherwise lovely course, good value and look forward to more outings in the new year when the weather improves and much of the work is completed.
Wexham Park GC
As an inexperienced golfer I was generally pleased with this deal (£12) for the standard of course. The course is under considerable re-construction with several shortened holes, temporary tees and, unfortunately, some distracting noise from the heavy construction vehicles & machinery. A small number of greens were heavily sanded but the majority were in good condition with the ball able to run as expected. Signage from the first to second tees could be improved as myself (and others not familiar with the course) wasted time navigating between the tees.On a busy day this would lead to backing up but not an issue yesterday. Overall, the setting is attractive with generous fairways, interesting doglegs and enough hazards (ditches, etc) to challenge the average standard golfer. Other benefits are the modern golf range, practice areas for chipping & putting, a well stocked pro shop and bar & restaurant area with indoor & outdoor seating.
Poorly Kept Front 9, Incredible back 9
Front 9 was in poor condition, some tee boxes felt more like a bunker since there was very little grass on them. Certain holes it’s really not clear where to find the tee boxes or the green even. Back 9 was completely different. Incredibly well kept, some great holes that flowed really well into each other. Staff were friendly and it was a nice place to play golf overall
