Greens were incredibly slow, grainy and in desperate need of cutting and rolling. Played the course many times, worst condition I have seen the greens in

Impressive

First impression, staff in pro shop extremely welcoming.
Course in great condition and very enjoyable to play. One slight suggestion, I must have repaired 20-30 pitch marks during my round. Perhaps the club could push for people to be more respectful, a great course like this deserves great greens.

Fantastic golf course

Played Whitley Bay for the first time on Monday 27th March and received a warm welcome from the club pro who explained where the practice facilities were and how to get to the first tee.
The condition of the course for this time of year was outstanding and the layout was fantastic with some outstanding holes particularly on the back nine. This is a must play course and I will definitely return soon.

A bit wet.

It was my first time.playing here. Turned up after calling course conditions line. Arrived and the board said open, no buggies or trolleys. This was an issue as had a cart bag. The staff were amazing. Advised of our situation and the friendly lad behind the counter went in the back to dig out two carry bags. We had a good round but the course due the rain was very wet. However still enjoyable. Thanks for the help to the staff. We will be back.

Course in good condition after wet conditions

Played Whitley bay for 1st time this winter, it was how I’d expected course to be after the rains we’d had lately,
Course was well playable and greens were in great condition, overall well worth it.

Lovely course - Pace of play abysmal

This was my first time playing this course and I was very much looking forward to it. The course was in immaculate condition. However. For reasons I simply cannot understand a four ball would not allow 2 solo players to play through. I myself was behind a solo gentleman in front and I was told on multiple occasions that he had been up on the tee box with this group and they were not allowing him to play through which kept around 3 or 4 groups behind. It took me nearly 2 hours to get to hole 9 as a one ball. In the end I ended up missing half the course because there was not enough light. Extremely dissapointing round and paid for only half a round.
Despite constant reminders on the course to keep up with speed of play etc.

Gem of a course

Been meaning to play here for a good few months and was not disappointed. The course is challenging and in great condition. The awful wind and rain did not put off a very enjoyable afternoon. A gem of a course, I will be back!

Golfing in the mist

Great course and excellent friendly welcome on a busy hot Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately literally as we Tee d off sea mist rolled in .
Around half the homes were played without a clue as to the green position never mind the pin .
Great course tho and worth a visit especially if booked as a hot deal . Absolute bargain for a great track .
