Course was in great condition considering the weather and really enjoyed it.

Cheeky little round

Played the course yesterday a nice welcome on arrival .1st hole the green layout will catch you out .
From holes 2 - 7 the views are amazing off the coast and the 2 par 3s are cracking .greens are in really good condition for this time off the year bunkers are the same .I was on my own but thoroughly enjoyed the round and the cost is well worth the views .I will return when back in the area

Course Condition

Despite the weather we have had the course conditions were perfect! Been a while since I’ve played there and the new bunkers have made great additions to the course. Greens were in spot on and everything fully open with no restrictions! Excellent and great value for money!

Great sea views and that great holes

Enjoyed my first round at Whitsand Bay. Great sea views and two or three classic holes, one par three right along the cliff with a 160 yard carry.

Some of the tees and greens are quote close, so occasionally you need to be patient. As long as there isn't a competit8n on it is normally very quiet so not a problem.

The par three 18th finish down to the clubhouse is a great challenge.

Small clubhouse has friendly staff, sea views and well priced gammon egg and chips and toasted club sandwiches.

Thoroughly recommended and inexpensive after 12.00. We paid £25 per person.

Lovely Course

Solo round with light rain throughout. Course held up really well and is clearly well-kept. Stunning views from on top of the cliffs and a challenging course. Highly recommend

Great cliff top course

The first 6 holes are tough, but fair. The 3rd is particularly hard a long par 3 into a tiny green which is banked all round. The following 12 holes are easier and the 18th is mad, an elevated tee back down to the green you drive over on the first. Me and my partner really enjoyed it though, and it was well worth the £20 evening green fee. Thanks to all at the club.

Stunning Setting

There’s so much I want to like about this course and I’d probably say I like about 3/4 of it.

The course itself is set on the cliffs overlooking Whitsands bay , stunning scenery and some breathtaking views.

There are a few tweaks which would help visiting golfers, there are very few clear signs from when you leave some of the greens and the next tee box, when you come off the 4th green , 5th green and 6th green there should be more signs to point you to th Le next tee box, small things that would make life easier for a newbie on the course.

The course fairways were very good, greens for early
May were decent , but the run ups and maintance of some areas around the greens need sorted , especially for those who know that Links golf requires those run up areas to be good around the greens.

Bunkers all good ( well the ones I was in ) holes 3 and 6 seem impossible par 3s to carry the ball all the way and land them on such small greens , so it’s imperative the lay up / run out areas are better, hole 18 needs the tee boxes where you can actually see the green ( last par 3 and a lovley hole but the tee box having a blind shot is crazy) Hole location on no12 was ridiculous and the Green keeper needs to use this amazing sided green to give you a chance of a birdie - where it was today was just plain stupid.

The staff were great ,both on check in and for my lovely bacon sandwhich and coffee.

All in all a good 6.5/7 outta 10 for location, anyone with an issue with hills , take a buggy or electric trolley , this course just needs a wee bit more TLC and it would be a good 8/10 for me, but for £35 definitely worth the visit

Okehampton is always lovely. The staff are friendly the pro is incredibly welcoming and the course is a little beauty. Not very long, mainly par 4s but beautifully laid out and very well kept. Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Definitely give it a go!

Great little course

First 6 holes very tricky, views where fantastic. I can imagine how difficult it could be when the wind gets up. Chatted with some friendly members. Lost a few balls, had a great day in the sun. I would recommend Whitsands Bay. Thank you.
