Wirral Golf Club

We finished our round in 3 hours 45 minutes which for a 4 ball with 2 who haven't played it before was good. Also helped by the fact it's a short course and there were no par 5's.
The course is well laid out with some very tight driving holes although I didn't need to use my driver that often.
Unfortunately the greens were in a pretty awful state which was a shame as the last time I played there they were good. We were chatting to a member in the local pub after our game and he was saying the green staff had put something on the greens that had badly affected them and that he thought they were going to be bad for the entire summer.
Everyone on and off the course was very friendly.

The course is in fabulous condition and although it lacks a par 5 it is still challenging.

My day was made when a lady member made a passive aggressive comment at my friend for hitting a provisional ball on a par 3 "are you in a serious competition, hitting2 balls?" It was hilarious for me. Especially as my chum was upset and his game went down the pan...

The greens were in terrible condition, needed at least two cuts and over half the greens required significant work to make them playable. Such a shame, as otherwise the course was in good condition

Lovely course in largely excellent condition, the greens in places had a little sand on the and were undergoing repairs but it didn't take away from the experience at all. Our 4 ball went round in just over 3 hours. Enjoyable round

Reasonably flat and very interesting course. Most par 4s are reachable for a mid handicapper so if you keep the ball straight you can score well. Had a great time

Great course, local to me. Played a few times before. Couple of tips…be VERY accurate, the course is tight and any wayward shots can be dangerous….as I found out as I was nearly hit twice. Challenging holes and some nasty pin positions (which makes it more fun!) Great value on GolfNow. Make sure you check out the clubhouse bar Gallaghers .

I needed a quick round at an enjoyably testing course near Liverpool and got it at the Wirral Golf Club. It is a short course - no par 5s - but one that demands accuracy off the tee and a strong short game to score well. The weather was perfect, the greens were mainly excellent, and I’ve never experienced so friendly a club. Highly recommended.

Played this with a few of the lads from our golf society,up there with our favourite courses we have played .Greens in immaculate condition as Is the rest of the course

The course is fantastic, I really enjoyed my self, the only problem I had was a four ball holding everybody up I think they were members. No one was getting let through it was a joke so ignorant, i did end up joining a husband and wife they were lovely people.. I’ll defo be going again hopefully I won’t get held up this time.

course in really good nick, short but enjoyable

First time playing here and really enjoyed it, even if I was struggling with a bit of a bad back! Not a long course and you don't need driver really (other than for a couple of longer par 4s or if you want to go for the green on some) but certainly you need to put the ball in the right spot off the tee to make the second shot a bit easier.
Given the time of year, the course was in pretty good condition - using normal tees and on normal greens (apart from one on the 2nd that was a poor temp) which were okay if a little bumpy and had some tyre marks on.
One hole was closed for drainage work but we played a couple of holes twice to make up for it.
Favourite hole was the par 4 5th and the par 3s are nice, if not long. I like the heathland feel of the course.
Pro in the shop was friendly and helpful and the clubhouse / bar was modern and good selection for a drink afterwards.
Would definitely go back there at a different time of year when course is at its absolute best and the greens are running nice.

Was stuck behind a society who was just completely slowing up the course. Took about 3 and half hours. Should of took 2 and half with it been so short.

Excellent course, greens were true and immaculate, would highly recommend this course for any type of golfer
