Historic gem
Whilst this has only been a golf course for 97 years, it has a superb parkland layout and a clubhouse which dates back to the 16th century.
Whilst not the longest course, it has 18 unique holes which provide a good test of skills for players of all standards. The greens are superbly kept, and indeed the tees have all been recently renewed.
There is a dormy house which can sleep 16 people, and has views over the 6 & 7th fairways.
The clubhouse has a fantastic courtyard where an after match beer can be enjoyed, with the bar stocking good Yorkshire ales, along with a variety of excellent wines and spirits.
This is a must visit course, with a fine Yorkshire welcome from the pro shop to the caterers.
This course is well worth a visit
Great course greens were superb really true and receptive. Think the course is really good but hard to post a good score as there are only 2 par 5's and the par 4's dont really offer many birdie chances so its a tough course. A course i would recommend more for the mid to low handicappers.
Very picturesque
Great course and quite tough, greens were very good.
Lovely course and a good challenge, pace of play was a very poor. up to 3 groups playing the same hole at one time. Waiting over 10 mins at the tee box. Overall a good round lovely grounds and well kept just too many people on the course at one time.
Lovely course
Greens in great condition considering the time of year and fairways good. There were just a few tee boxes with mats but in general a very nice course.
Woodsome
Very nice course, it is very hilly though and therefore buggies/trollers advised.
I can honestly say that Woodsome Hall is one of the best courses i have had the privilege to play.
Anyone visiting the area must take time out to play this brilliant course.
Love the place
Wished you had more mixed opens
But love the place
Lovely course and setting
Returned to Woodsome Hall for the 3rd time but the first of 2016. Not disappointed either. Got a super deal on golf now. Great tee time for a Sunday. Course layout is terrific and condition was very good. Greens a little slow and woolly and first cut off the fairway was too deep and a little unfair. When the green staff give it a trim it will be pristine. Will certainly return. Would love to be a member here if it was just 10/15 miles closer. I'd strongly advise any golfer to visit.
