Too busy

Coming back to this course after not having played it for a while. Overall the course is in decent shape, greens are running well, fairways maintained and tough not too punitive. T boxes are showing a bit of wear though. I think prices may have dropped on this course, which might also explain why it’s so busy. Delayed starting (not all that unusual for a PM round) and 2 ball in front using a buggy, but still waiting on most holes for an age… slow play, t-times too close together and the layout of the first few holes made for a long afternoon. Clubhouse bar seemed shut at the end also. No drivers off the range doesn’t help practice either. Nice helpful staff however. Overall it’s an OK experience to play a round here every once in a while but maybe pick a midweek if you possibly can.

Excellent condition

Superb fairways, just wish I'd found those more often.
Very well kept course. Got caught out by the layout a little but now we've played it, we'll know for next time and there'll be a next time!
Payed £20 for a Sunday morning tee time and that was brilliant value.

Slowest round of golf I’ve ever played

We were behind a society that was the slowest groups I’ve ever seen on a golf course. We had to skip 2 holes to get ahead of a couple groups, then caught up to the rest of the society in front who then held us up. The gap behind us was 2 holes even with waiting, which shows how slow! Embarrassing

Great course

A little short, but nevertheless a great course. Some tight fairways provide a challenge. The greens were in excellent condition given the rain over the past few weeks. Staff incredibly welcoming and helpful.

Fun Course, great for intermediate.

We really enjoyed our rounds here. This was the second time playing as we enjoyed the first time so much. Not too busy so not rushed and could play at our own pace. The members seemed friendly and the staff very accomodating. Nice little driving range to hit a few before our round (20 balls £2) There is a nice little bunker to practice out of and a good putting green also.
The course was in great condition considering the time of year but a few winter tees were in play. The course layout is not the easiest to navigate and they could do with some little info boards on each tee to help with navigating each hole but that is a common critisism of many courses these days. There is a least a map on the back of the score card to assist with this though.
Excellent value for money! We only payed £12 each for a round so in actual fact its difficult to argue with anything at that price! The course provides some interesting features but not too difficult, there are a couple of long Par 5’s and some nice dog legs. There are a few water hazards and ditches and a couple of the fairways are tightened by out of bounds either side. Bunkers were in excellent condition too. On the whole a really fun course to play, not too hilly but offers a decent challenge to the medium/high handicap golfer. I’m guessing it could become a little clogged in the summer months and if busier as some of the tees cross over and you are told to wait if people are teeing off nearby, but for this time of year when other courses are a real slog this was a winner! I also should mention that while there is some woodland its not so bad that if you are off your game you lose loads of balls, the rough is quite well negotiable and the ground under the trees is pretty solid so, if like me you tend to slice or shank the odd shot, you are more than likely to be able to play out of wherever you end up! This can often change your mindset if you arent having a great game and still be able to enjoy the round even if you arent at your best.
I reccomend this course if you are after an easy going round, nice open fairways and challenging greens! We’ll deffinately be back.

Great Value for Money!

The quality of the course was fantastic for the time of year, fairways were immaculately cut, greens played very fast and pins were cut to challenging positions. The course does lack some definition and there's scope to add a lot more features to the holes, but for the money paid this is an excellent course - especially the conditions. Would recommend Worldham to anyone.
