Mike & Elizabeth Farrell

Having played this course many times, it didn't disappoint us playing there again for the first time this year. The fairways are undergoing maintenance on certain holes, but the greens, fringes and bunkers are excellent as ever. We were directly behind the Seniors team matches and the pace of play was as expected bearing in mind they were playing as four-balls and we were a two. However the home team members were especially friendly and apologetic and we had regular updates on the score which was enjoyable. In fact it took us only 3 hours 45 minutes to play our game...not bad at all. The professional is always friendly and welcoming and the clubhouse renovations are superb- plus really good food. All in all definitely recommended and we will certainly be going back.

Good course ...very very slow play

The greens are some of the best around, the fairways are still suffering from course maintenance, not a lover of the new bunkers, look too American on an old English course, not the most interesting course, very pretty with rhododendrons out.
However being booked in just after a Seniors Challenge Match was a disaster, looking at a five hour round. Did not stay for last few holes as the time delay was ruining my game.

York golf course

played for a great price as hot deal offer was on, but would happily return and pay full green. Course is absolutely stunning with beautiful large green. Was made to totally welcome from all staff and members. Can't wait to return which will be very soon.

Pleasant Round of Golf

My wife and I played a very relaxing round of golf. The pro was very welcoming when we arrived and the course was in good condition with some wet areas on the fairways and bunkers due to recent heavy rain but the greens were in good condition.
