Cherokee Valley Course and Club

The course is in good shape, greens are too. Could be a little faster though.

I've played the course a few times before so I knew what I was getting into. It's a course that rewards accuracy over raw power. If you take what it will give you you'll have fun. The greens were wonderful, a little fast but they rolled nice and true. Looking forward to my next trip.

This is a challenging course. Opportunitys for birdies on short par 4's. Excellent risk for reward course. Tough greens. Fun but need to play a few times to learn correct clubs on big elevation changes. Beautiful views.

This course meanders through the foothills of the far reaches of Traveler's Rest. Surprisingly excellent warm up area with all the amenities you would expect in a course that hosts the golf digest school.

This is a challenging course for a bogey golfer with excellent views. Although there are some homes along some of the holes, you really feel like you are in the woods versus hitting close to someones backyard. Water comes into play on two of the holes and blind shots occur on two or three holes. Greens were in excellent shape. Staff was friendly and welcoming. A golf cart is required on this hilly, long and challenging course. At the price point its one of the best values in the Greenville area.

Cherokee Valley is an awesome course! I'm not a great golfer by any means so, it is a pretty difficult course for my skill level(about a 20 handicap). It is very hilly, which isn't a surprise since its in the mountains. However, that also makes for some awesome views!

This course is challenging with it's greens that have a lot of slope to them. As usual, the course was in great condition.

Played on golfnow hot deal....worth the $$$. Staff was great....especially the cart guy! Course was tight in spots, big greens, small greens....something for everyone. A lot of elevated greens made it challenging . They have some great stay & play accommodations. Worth the 2 hour drive....

Course was great and in good shape. My only concern was with the ranger. It was a cart path only day and he came to my group as we were heading to #2 advising that it as cart path. We acknowledged him and reminded him we'd just played #1 cart path only. He then came back to us 3 holes later inspecting our carts and made the comment " oh I can tell you really are following the rules because I see your tires are clean". He was being sarcastic and trying to insinuate that we were abiding by the rules. He also told us the the group behind us were former members trying to steal 9 holes of golf. We advised on the turn that the 2some behind us were indeed driving all over the fairway and not even in 90 degree fashion. She schrugged off my concern. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and the other executives I was playing with at the time.

Cherokee valley is a challenging course with great scenery!

I would recommend Cherokee Valley to any golfer. It is a challenging but fair golf course with some of the most beautiful views you'll find in the upstate .The golf course is always in immaculate condition and has all the amenities that a golfer would need in order to enjoy his around of golf.

Course was in very good condition. Pace of play was a little slow but not horrible for a weekend. If you haven't played here before, there are a number of blind tee shots. This can lead to less considerate golfers inadvertently hitting into you. So, recommend being alert and leaving one cart where it can be seen from the tee box. Overall, a great buy for the money!

We played as a threesome on Fri morning. Course is very challenging, reminds me of a RTJ layout. Not a flat spot on course (fairways or greens), so bring your A game. The blue tees played about 6,100 yds. This is now my favorite course in Greenville/Spartanburg area with Clemson's Walker course as close second.

It was a very hot day. Weather had been very dry. The courrse is in great shape. ...good watering. A challenging course . ...will definitely return.

This is a beautiful course look forward to playing again. Just got behind some young guys with their kids playing really slow, not really the course issue just poor sportsmanship.
