The Links At Kahite Golf Course

Called Kahite pro shop Tues. 5-11-21 for a tee time, guy who answered was rude and short with me. Said only tee time available was 2:40, then he basically hung up on me because he was too busy! Called Toqua GC, same Tellico Village family of courses, tee time reservations can be made from any of the 3 pro shops for any of the 3 courses. talked to a very cordial Amy and she got us an earlier tee time that was suitable for our group. Granted, it was my mistake to not inquire about course conditions, BUT their “professional” staff SHOULD have offered the info that #1 was closed, the greens had been aerated and treated about 2 weeks earlier which made them still very bumpy and not roll true, and most tee boxes were rough and unkempt. And we paid $60.00 for this crappy course, only 17 holes to play, bad attitudes by the staff, and just general disdain for players who aren’t members. The only part of the round that I enjoyed was the weather and the par 6 #9 and the cold craft beer we had afterwards, the dark haired bartender was the nicest person we encountered. Don’t waste your $, time, or effort to go here and play. The course fees should be no more than $40-$45 for this very average course!

There may be a reason there are so few reviews on this course. The locals who play it don't want anyone else to know about it.

What a fun course. Great layout, great conditions, and very reasonable green fees. The course rolls through hills and takes advantage of the natural contours of the area. There a lots of homes on the course, but that doesn't take away from several wonderful vistas of the mountains. Number 9 is a par 6, 800 yards from the tips. To be honest, it is a pretty boring hole, just long, but how often do you play a par 6? Lots of great golf holes, especially for the money.

Make the trip, it's worth it.
