Well designed & well kept course
One of the best kept courses ever. The fairways were broad and green, some elm leaves made it a little difficult to find ball if off the fairway. Really appreciated the electric carts and not having to stay on the cart path, especially at this time of the year. Easy to go from one hole to the other. Greens were in excellent condition.
Nice course
Was nice playing in Colorado again!!!! Course was in good shape!! Cart girl came around often!!!! Staff was really friendly!!!! Don't book a tee time on golf now after 3:00 because the course stops giving out carts at 3:00 and it doesn't tell you when you book it,so you end up walking!!!!! Over all good round of golf!!!!
Great city course!
The weather was great for golf. The course was in great shape and the greens were fast. The fairways were well groomed and as long as you didn't stray too far off the fairway the rough was manageable. While I was only in the bunker once the sand was predictable. A lot of the bunkers I'd been in around here were more like gravel but not these. This is a great city owned course and has been around since the late 1800's so the history is also quite interesting. I'd recommend this course to anyone and everyone, scratch golfer and duffer alike.
Great golf course great fiod
Time on the course was easy, even though it was crowded .
Dinner after was very good and reasonable.
I've played Patty over 50 years. Can't get over the crowd and yet how smooth the operation is now days. Relax and play Patty.
Starters
Well to put it bluntly they suck .. Show up way early cause they will put you out 10/15 early regardless of when you think your time is .. Not friendly at all.
perfect day for golf
We arrived a little early and were able to get right out on the course. Considering the heat of late, I was surprised to see the course in such perfect condition. Everything was green and lush. The wild flowers all around the rough were beautiful. It was important to stay in the fairway because even in the first cut the thick grass grabs your ball. All in all, the day was very enjoyable!
Beautiful views
The holes on this course were beautiful and the course in excellent condition. Would play again.
Beautiful Course
My husband and I played this course and were very pleased. We wold play again. Our favorite course is a mountain course, of which this is not, but it is surrounded by mountains and many beautiful scenery.
Great course
Awesome course, always fun to play. Different challenges each time I play. Pace of play is always terrible though regardless of when you go. Otherwise great course!
Good course
Good course for the money
Nice Shape
The first fairway on Prarrie was a little sparse but the rest of the course is in good shape, including the greens.
Good course with tough undulating greens
Enjoyed the course although the greens were tough to hold on approaches and putting for the first time playing was difficult.
great round
wonderful time, great shape for March in the Rockies.
this is a great course for any skill level.
Pace of play
Every time I've played here the pace of play was fairly slow, other than that it's okay.
Very playable -- delightful views
I played this course in tournaments 50 years ago as one of the top amateur golfers in the state. Returning for a nostalgic look I was struck by the amazing views, particularly of Pike's Peak on several tees, and the continued viability of this very old venue. The contouring of these greens, very large by the standards of the late 19th century, make the putting very interesting and they are unusually smooth for January. The length of most of the holes is shortish, but you need to pursue lines off the tees that put you in position to score. All in all, a better walk in the park than anticipated. Play it at least once.
