Good experience
Very friendly staff. Course is in good shape. Greens roll true
Horrible
Absolute laziness in regards to 3 pin locations get rotated and when not being used they are covered for use another day edges of cups were horrible bunkers were horrible relatively unkept fairways
Challenging courss
I am new to golf. This course is very well taken care of. It is the most challenging I have played at though. I love a good challenge.
A Great Fun Course
Interesting layout, in good condition, especially the green. 1st played here, really enjoyed.
Good shape
The course is in excellent shape tee to green. Enjoyable park like course. Great course for the money.
First time to play this local course. Wish I had played it sooner and will definitely play again. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The range, chipping green and putting green were in great shape. The course is in great shape, not easy when it’s 96-100° with 100% humidity and little rain for over a month. The greens were in good shape, ran true and were quick without being too fast. The pace of play was fast. I played in 3 hours. The foursome in front of me kept pace as to where I wasn’t waiting. Would recommend this course to all my friends.
Beware of “Members”
I’ve played this course 7-8 times over the last two years. I don’t think I’ll return after a recent round that involved an encounter with some of the “members” of this very public course. After playing 11 holes in a little over 2 hours, my group let a twosome play through. While waiting to hit our approach shots from 12 fairway, a foursome arrived at 12 tee and almost hit two guys in my group with a drive and rolled under my cart. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was an accident, perhaps new to the course and didn’t know their yardages. However, once we finished the hole, one member of the group behind came near the next tee box and immediately started cussing us up and down for “skipping ahead” of his group at the turn. This obviously hadn’t happened and we told him as much, advising him that his group definitely wasn’t playing through after his little outburst. He cussed us well enough that a friend in my group thought it best to call the clubhouse. They sent out two high school cart boys who essentially covered for the other group as they were “members.” After the round, I discussed it with the pro shop manager who apologized profusely but there was never an apology from these illustrious members as I’m sure they were busy cleaning their GX-7 drivers and S7K Stand-alone Putters after breaking the net course record for a four man scramble.
It’s a solid course that is pretty well maintained but Mirimichi, just up the road, is far superior with a better layout, conditions, and practice area for a little more money. Or better yet, just avoid Millington all together, leave Glen Eagle to the “members” and thank me later.
Glen Eagle
Great course. Greens in good shape. Fairways run fast. Just didn’t have any score cards. I think mostly due to funding during the corona. Dam you corona. Other than that, great course.
Great Game!
Had this place to ourselves yesterday for a very fun, very wet rainy game. Course was beautiful and very well kept, staff was great. Course flows very well and will challenge you. Very complex and fun (even with getting torrential downpoured on, twice :) ). Will definitely be back when I'm in town next time. Keep up the good work!
Casual Golfer
The course was in good shape as always. The staff was friendly and it was a great day for golf.
Good Round
Had a good time with the course in good shape even with all the rain we have had.The people were really nice had a really nice time.
Great service
Great friendly staff and very helpful. Course is in excellent condition. Tee boxes, fairways and greens very well maintained.
Solid challenge
If you like mixing in your long irons, this is the course for you. You may only use your driver 5-6 times. Course was in condition when I played in July.
Great Course BUT
The young guy working in the pro shop was about as rude as one could possibly be, Very dismissive and arrogant—felt very unwelcome. I’m a Navy vet and was a bit shocked. Normally I’d shop for a few items but I figured I better get on the course rather than being a bother as a customer. On the good side, the course was in amazing shape and I enjoyed the play. With a bit of maturity from the staff, it’d be worthy of a return. .
Amazing Course
I absolutely love play at Glen Eagle. The course is great! The greens are so unpredictable and challenging which is great as I am learning to read greens! The staff is great and courteous! Waiting to get the full experience of the club house, thanks Covid! Only issue I’ve had is getting backed up while playing! Some are nice enough to let me play through some could care less! Best day to go is Wednesday!
