Gogarburn Golf Club is located just a short drive from the Edinburgh Airport, near the headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland. Despite the seemingly bustling location, the course itself is tucked away amidst mature woodlands. The unique 12-hole layout has an interesting mix of short par 4s and very long par 3s. It's not an overly difficult golf course but you should be prepared to have your accuracy and shot-making skills put to the test. The layout is made tougher with pin placements that sit right behind high-lipped bunkers. Short hitters will enjoy the course and it's also gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Gogarburn Golf Club has an historic element as well with several holes that play through an area where Cromwell conducted one of his skirmishes.

A Lovely 12 Holes of Golf

I played Gogarburn, for the first time, with a friend and we were lucky enough to play in the sunshine. The starter was very helpful and friendly. The course was very well looked after and the green keeper was very courteous. I would definitely want to go back as I really enjoyed the course and feel it would benefit my short game. 2 hours is a wonderful amount of time playing golf!

Pleasant Course

I thought I had paid for 18 holes but told promptly that they have issues with Teeofftimes and it is definitely only 12 holes I have paid for. In the sunshine with the course to myself it was a pleasant course, just too short for me to really enjoy it. Irons off all the tees to make it interesting.

Good for Iron play

Played this course for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with its condition. Not the longest course so good for Iron practice off the tee, really only 2/3 holes you can hit driver for average hitters. Great for a quick round after work and will be back.

A very pleasant course in excellent condition.

We had an excellent early morning round on a lovely course. Some very pleasant holes with a number of par 3s. Some par 4s are short with a couple of longer ones.
Altogether a very enjoyable course for a relaxing round in lovely surroundings.
The gentleman in the starters cabin was extremely pleasant, welcoming, friendly and efficient.

Quick Round

This course is ideal for beginners, and elderly alike.

The course is well prepared, and most holes are sheltered from the elements.

Great if your wanting to squeeze in a quick round on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Gogarburn 12 Hole

A nice little 12 hole course with fairly straight forward holes, no real surprises. Greens were not too fast. Balls are easy to lose in the trees as they are pretty dense with undergrowth.

Small, but perfectly well formed.

1st time I played this course, was very pleased with the reception I received from the staff. I was playing on my own, but was asked if I wanted to play with a member. Found the course to be smallish, but challenging. Played 12 holes, as this is a 12 hole course, with the ability to play 18. Would definitely play this course again.
