Excellent for practice round
UNF GolfPlex is an excellent facility for those looking for a quiet, comfortable place to practice under real game conditions. The facilities include a driving range, putting, chipping/pitching, and sand trap practice areas. But what makes GolfPlex different to other golf facilities is that you can also practice your game under real golf conditions in the 4 holes range. You can play these 4 holes from different tee boxes set up to provide a variety of distances and angles. You can create your own golf course and play, or simply concentrate on certain areas of your game.
great practice facilities
decent range mats have seen some use but good grass area. nice putting and chipping area good practice bunker and the 4 hole course is in great shape good fairways and great green. can not beat the price to practice
Under construction
With the rain the last week. There was lots of standing water and mud ruts on the walkways. They are adding new drainage, tee boxes and greens. But for now in going to pass until they are done.
enjoyed it
Great value...greens in great shape nice people . A great learning facility
Nice place to sharpen your skills or just lose balls.....
Super nice staff.... Great facilities ..... Driving range is off the charts great- checked yardage on all markers and they are spot on give or take 2-4 yards... impressed with the staff in that they were eager to assist and seemed to actually enjoy being there... Wow what an idea... hire happy employees...
Well worth the money!!!
Please keep in mind this is a 4 hole course at the University of North Florida. It is $12 for a large bucket of balls. For $13 you get a small bucket, unlimited practice time on their putting and chipping greens, and then you get to play 4 holes. If you need a quick golf fix, or really want to warm up for an 18 hole round, this is the way to go! Also for $13 dont expect the course to be in tip top shape, the greens are better than average, and that is what matters!
Good Value!
I was intending to just go to the driving range until I saw I could get range balls and a tee time for under $15. You can go through the 4 holes as many times as you like. The driving range is by far the most enticing part of the complex. It offers stadium lights and hours of operation from 8AM-10PM. I'll be going back soon!
Good
Good course. Only flaw is that it is only a 4 hole course so if theres alot of people you could be waiting a little bit
Wont honor Golf Now rates
I was given a hard time this past weekend for using Golf Now to book a great deal at the UNF Golfplex. The female staff pro there told me that "we don't know where the money is going." and that the Golf Now booking was set up under previous management.
For the hot deal rates, it was a great value... but the course is in fair to poor shape, and definitely NOT worth the full asking price. You can do much better playing 18 holes at any of the other nearby courses for what they charge to walk the 4 holes at their facility.
I would not recommend this unless they start honoring the Golf Now rates as advertised.
Beginner's course.
Good for beginners and a lot on the course, I mean a lot.
Great for practice
If you're looking to play a round of golf this isn't the place but if you want to get some practice in this is the place. Driving range is great. They have a putting green and the best part about the golfplex is the chipping green. Definitely recommend checking it out to get some practice in.
Excellent pratice course. There are 4 holes that make a loop.
I liked this course a lot. I'll be returning often.
It's $10 unlimited during the week, which is cheaper than their large bucket on the range. I can get off work at 3:30 be there by 3:45 and play unlimited golf till dark. Sure it's not a good substitute for an actual 18 hole course, it's not meant to be. I think your missing the purpose of the facility.
