Esplanade Golf and Country Club of Naples

We found the greens to be in terrible shape, many were under repair. Additionally, the fairways were not marked as to where to take the cart off the course & many times had the cart turned off because we were considered too close to the green, sometimes even 75 yards out.

This is a beautiful course set in a very attractive and well maintained golf community. The fairways are long and wide, challenging enough with bunkers and water and in prime condition. Not a weed or bare spot in sight! Yes, 3 or4 greens were under repair, but they were still rolling and the rest of them were good tests and In great shape.
Pace of okay was amazing: we were a threesome and saw no one ahead or behind us for the first 9 holes. Back 9 had a foursome ahead of us, but we hardly waited at all,, they were quick and courteous.
This is a really special course, great carts with GPS, optimal conditions and fun greens. Catch it if you can!

Always enjoyed playing this course over the last 5 years. This time the greens were absolutely terrible. They lost them December-January. Golf now participants beware!

Very nice golf course overall. Greens on 10, 11 and 12 were not in very good condition for some reason. Clearly under repair. Trying to bring those greens up to the quality rest of the greens and course.

Nice layout, but conditions were terrible. 3 greens your putting in sand and the rest of the greens is like putting on Velcro they are so slow. Practice range needs a lot of work and there is no straight putt on the practice green. Course needs a lot of work!!

One of our favorite - while some of the greens were being renovated., course conditions, overall, were great. Pace of play was at 4 hours, which we enjoy, and staff was very friendly.

Upon arrival, we were told that greens 10, 11 and 12 were under maintenance. Therefore, we recieved a discount at $148.00! However, ALL 18 greens were unplayable.
I have played this course many times, always happy with the conditions. I would advise everyone to avoid this course for the near future. #pathetic

We should have been told about the temporary greens when booking. They knew but never told us. Said they did not have a chance to call me. We would not have played and never would have paid that much money.

Nice course but not scenic because every fairway is lined with homes or condos

Good round in 4 hours. Very nice course except for 3 temporary greens. Pace was quick & course layout was very nice.
Plenty of landing room on driving holes. Greens were slow but overall in good shape.

Everyone should take the time to play a round at Esplanade. The course is in exceptional shape with the exception of two greens. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

As always a great golf course, friendly staff on and off course. An interesting design which has grown in nicely over several years as the community has grown. 4 hour round on a Saturday morning with attentive and friendly rangers on course.
As noted before, several greens in tough shape with forced pin positions in impossible locations, and overall greens which had been fresh cut but badly in need of a good rolling. Work is clearly underway to correct damage, but still need smoothing to reach the standards of the rest of the course.

Will never play again. Greens very slow. On holes 10,11 and 12 they had a green fertilizer that made the greens even slower. Way over priced for what you get

Good layout, but greens are difficult to even “tricked” out. One pin placement in particular seemed miniature golf like.
Greens were slowish (9.2) on stimp. A few greens were in really rough shape, but most of course in great condition.

Several of the greens on the back nine were in bad shape

Really enjoyed our day. Slowed way down on the back nine. This was the only issue otherwise top notch.

Played this course 5 years ago. We thought it would’ve improved in five years but it went backwards dramatically! Better shape back then than now. Greens on the back nine were in horrible condition! Greens on the front were very slow. An average course at best.
