Bad, even got the cheap rate.
This is a course to avoid. The conditions are like that of a bad muni. Thin grass, bumpy greens, and a horrible layout. You are not safe on many tee boxes, and we had players in our fairway way too many times. Blind and small greens, with slants away - no chance to keep even great shots on many greens. Convoluted Mickey Mouse layout. Slow slow slow pace - we finally quit on 14. The folks in the clubhouse were very friendly and the prepaid rate was affordable... but you still don’t get your money’s worth. If looking for a decently maintained course and a fun round... not the place.
Deer Valley
I've heard about this course, talked to a couple people that played it before. This was my first time playing there, well worth the one hour and fifteen minute drive to get there. It was quite foggy when we teed off, made the first hole quite difficult not knowing where we were headed. Fog lifted soon after, the views were awesome, the course layout was also awesome. We played the ridge and prairie courses, I'll be back to play the valley course for sure.
Best course in the universe
Fun layout, great staff, pace of play usually really good, course always in good shape and most importantly I hit a hole in one on 16.
Scenic Course
Very hilly and scenic course. It has some unique holes and is a nice change of pace from your average course.
Wide open fairway; no excuses
Today was windy at times but fairways are pretty wide open and you can really slug the ball. Fun courses!
Autumn Golf
The course was in good shape, fairways were dry and fast and the greens have been recently plugged but still ran smoothly. Little to no wind made the course play pretty easy which reflected in pace of play. It was an enjoyable course that I will keep in mind when I’m in the area.
Beautiful fall day
We have golfed Deer Valley many times and it’s one of my favorite courses. Course was in great shape . Also, it’s our favorite course to find golf balls.
Beautiful scenic course
One of the most scenic courses I’ve ever played. Nice fairways and greens. If you’re in the area don’t miss it
Nice Course
Greens are small but very well maintained. Balls roll true and accurate. Fairways were hard because of the dryness. You can really get some great rolls for impressive drives, especially with the wind.
Would go again.
Very Wisconsin-y Course
Nice course with lots of variety. A few unique challenging shots. Lots of great views and a very Wisconsin feel.
Peace on a golf course
Awesome views, interesting layout, and well cared for golf course. I’m a 16 index and shot a 82! Awesome round for me
A place to go for some challenge
Deer Valley is an all around great place to golf. A rolling hills area bisected by a valley provides some great vistas as well as a whole lot of variety in what each hole offers. None are alike. You will find just about any type of experience on the holes; from big drops to big rises, from holes that test your location skills on the fairways and into the greens themselves, from a few holes that have flatish fairways to most holes that have fairway convexity. In other words know where you want to hit it, not just hit it. The 3 nines provide a prairie 9, a ridge 9 and a valley 9.
Nice challenge
Course is in great shape.
Nice challenge.
Sometimes pace of play is a little slow.
But worth playing!!
