High Legh Park Golf Club - Academy Course

I was wanting just a quick 9 holes before work and this fitted the bill. It’s a short course with 4 par 3… this course and the championship course intertwine..so I found it slightly tricky to navigate to the next hole, as it is not always obvious where to go. But keep an eye out for the sign posts and the courses use different tea box colours . Which really helps and stopped me reading off on the wrong course a few times. Considering time of year and the amount of rain we have had, the course was holding up not too bad.

Few tees with grass you would expect to find in the ruff but other than that a nice 9 hole course well worth £10

The seventh hole does not get a lot of sun due to the trees being around it so it’s completely different than the rest my son and I do not like it plus it’s too difficult to do the angles on the water compared to the other holes specially when learning

High legh cancelled due to rain. They told me you would refund me or if payment had t been taken yet you wouldn’t take payment. Please advise

The course poses a good challenge, but could do with a little bit of TLC. Tee boxes were well worn & bare in places. By comparison, it seemed the 18 hole course is better maintained, which is to be expected. Overall, the course was good value for money and I’d play again.

Played here for first time on the academy course by mistake. Turned out to be a nice surprise.
Course conditions were overall very good and the greens also in very good condition.

Presented every challenge needed to test a novice to intermediate player. And I'd say every hole presented a good test whether it's on your short game just as much as your long game with two 400+ yard par 5's and a good mix of par 3s & 4's.

Will probably book the full 18 next time but still a good hour to two fix of golf. Definitely didn't feel like pitch and putt.

Great 9 hole course and in great condition, nice little club house and driving range with American golf shop as well. Only negative was the directions between some of the holes was poor and we got lost twice as we have never played there but look forwards to going back soon.

Challenging and fun. Have to be pretty accurate, some good obstacles. In fantastic condition. Was very slow going today but normally ok. Reasonable price.

I played on my own, my second time playing here. 9 hole academy course is absolutely fantastic. Condition is superb and the greens were in fantastic shape. I got a hole in one at the Par 3 4th (on my own) a great moment i’ll never forget. Will definitely be playing here again soon.

Second time playing in this course and it was in fantastic condition again. A good mix of holes to test a beginner or a high handicap play. Wasn’t that busy either so never got held on while going round.

Had a bit of rain the night before but course was still in good playing condition. Quick course to get round and some nice holes

The course was looking good for this time of year ,good lay out of holes ,good test of your golf ing skill I never put stars on off coasrse amenities , because it is close at the moment
Overall a very enjoyable 9 hole coasrse too play
