Great course
This course is an absolute pleasure to play. Demanding, yet very interesting and in very good condition. Very good value for money. The only spoiler was a very slow 4 ball in front who took an age to play every hole, yet stubbornly refused to let anyone through. Some course marshaling would have been useful.
Mr Graham Matthews
We had a fabulous day out, the only negative comment was we decided to have a meal after our game but the Menu was very poor and went elsewhere for a meal.
Great course, but pretty hilly.
This is a great course and I love playing it. However it is probably worth mentioning that it is quite hilly, so some golfers may want to consider using a golf cart if they struggle with hills. The hills are well worth the amazing scenery.

What a beautiful course, friendly staff, gorgeous course layout, beautiful greens, and the views are stunning,
A pleasure to play.
Great course and views
Lovely course which was in great condition. Some long walks up the hills but the views are worth it. When we played, the wind was kind to us but I can imagine it being very testing when the wind gets up. Will definitely be going back.
Hidden gem
Lovely course well thought about holes makes you think about your game.
Great course
What a lovely course in great condition the greens are like carpets a good test for everyone and for this time of year exceptional a credit to the club
Stunning place to play golf
One of the best courses I've played in years. The weather had been horrific for a few weeks before we played, so unfortunately two holes were closed due to waterlogging, but the other 16 held up really well, as though it had only rained that morning.
Everywhere you go on the course there is something new to see, a new view to admire, or another challenging hole to test you. My personal favourite stretch was from 10-12. A tricky Par 3, a short Par 4 with big elevation changes, and a longer more traditional Par 4, with sensational views.
My playing partners and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and we are looking forward to returning a little later in the year to experience the course in dry conditions.
Very windy but great course
Excellent hill course on Shropshire/Wales border where Ian Woosnam learned his trade. Played November and greens were as good as I’ve played for ages. Cracking layout but if you’re not straight you will lose balls so bring plenty. Members and Pro very friendly.
Winter golf
Great condition considering the time of year and the recent weather , great views and a fair test of golf even with some mats in play , only 16 holes open but were informed of this prior to play and the pro shop
Staff told us we could play a couple more holes at any time to make up for it would highly recommend a trip here
Mr
I play Llanymynech not just for the golf but for the fantastic views and the challenge of the golf course.
The staff always make you welcome and I always enjoy the food and drinks before and after we have played the course.
Very hilly course
Unfortunately I played just after they had hollow tined and top dressed every single green. They really should give a discount when this happens as putting is a lottery, and pitching on the green produces big puffs of sand and ball dies or skids through. The fairways and teeing areas were excellent. A very taxing course over severe hills. Buggies recommended (I walked but was thankful I had a trolley). Very many blind shots and because a lot of greens are perched at the top of hills it is impossible to see hazards and gauge your approach shots.
Good coarse, worth playing.
I played with my son and we both enjoyed the coarse,, I liked the layout, challenging in parts and fantastic views.
The only downside was (and this may be entirely our golfing ability) I found the greens very difficult to read, slow in places and quicker in others combined with the slopes. For example 18th par 4, driver and pitching edge to fringe of the green in 2 and 4 putts to sink the ball, this happened on a few holes.
Only makes me want to go back and have another go.
