Fiddlers take a look at it now
Friendly people good price, helpful greens staff. Good Quality car parking. Nice little cafe and outside area. Greens dressed and seeded all fairways cut, tees well presented. Lots of water hazards, lakes well planned. Challenging course requiring Iron play. Anyone previously doubtful of this course would do well to try it again. Driving range very good, Range of goods for sale in tru fit golf shop extraordinarily extensive and competitive Loved some of the tighter farways. Some great holes and views. Will visit again
Under used gem
I'll get straight to the bad news. ..which is the greens have taken a hit since I was last there. ..maybe because of loosing a green keeper or just lack of funds....& the rabbit population seams to be making the task harder. ..but apart from these niggles the layout is spot on & great test....ps you need a marker to show where the 14th tee is when you comeoff the 13th. .the pro shop is outstanding service great. .with a welcoming coffee shop & cafe to meet everyone's needs..just needs more people to play there as I think they need more money to spend on the greens and without player's there In a catch twenty two situation.
Give it a go you won't be disappointed in the layout.
I enjoy the course although I played rubbish ,some nice hazardous waters and bunkers to avoid .The only thing that I'd say on the negative is the course needs is better greens but for the price I payed being a tenna I can't complain.
Cheap and cheerful
Booked online for £10, the course is quite picturesque which nice views. It was quiet so went round with no hold ups. The course wasn't very well maintained, the fairways weren't great and the greens needed a watering. But was value for money but wouldn't have liked to have paid much more
Greens need a lot of work
I've played this course quite often over the past 3-4 years and a while ago it was maturing really well.
However, last year the greens were poor so I'd not been back for a while.
I decided to give it another go as I always enjoyed the course.
I was disappointed with the first green and it only got worse after that. The greens were rock hard and brown on every hole.
To make matters worse the course is suffering from a mole infestation. Some greens had 5 or 6 holes on.
Played on tuesday (23/5/17), have to say despite the recent heatwave the greens were in good condition and evenly paced over the whole course.
Great little course
For time of year and weather that's been had, course in good condition greens really well kept, will defo be playing more here. Highly recommended.
Wet and boggy underfoot
We were given a voucher as a present by a friend to play here with buggies (Groupon voucher). We booked it only to find that they don't let buggies go out in circa winter months (even though the groupon voucher was for these dates).
On playing the course you will see why, it is so boggy on the fairways and so poorly drained. The whole course feels like it was built on a rubbish tip and has poorly managed fairways and greens. There are hazards and other such obstacles not expected to see on a golf course in the way and not the best experience all round.
On the upside, the driving range is good and the staff friendly in the pro shop.
