Pretty good iron practice par 3.
Very short but you can work on your irons and it’s a nicely kept little course...
Uneven Tee Box, Mushy Greens, Fun Course
I have to cut the course a little slack becuase it rained 2 days ago. The balls were almost plugging on the greens. Otherwise it was fun.
Poorly maintained while under heavy use
While the driving range is very good, the golf course itself took a back seat in care and grooming, fairways are rough and weedy, greens have brown patches and have divots all over, tee boxes are bare dirt due to heavy divots damage. The course suffers from, I think, lots of beginners golfers who don’t know how to care for the course while scooping chunks of grass on frequent miss hits. I think better signage and course tutoring should go a long way towards helping the course survive during this Covid pandemic heavy use.
Great place
This place is a fun and quick or 3 only took an hour to play. The only bad thing about this course I think the yardage markers are a tad off and the tee boxes could use a little love
Good game
Had a good time. Greens were good except for ball marks. People need to be reminded to fix their ball marks. Will definitely play here again.
Short game work
Tee boxes need work and I wish the players would take care of their green divots. Decent course.
Soggy but good for $10
Typical Par 3, very friendly staff. Rough was decently challenging and punished missed greens. Greens were smooth but a little long. Not a lot of people fixing their ball marks. Great range and very well maintained clubhouse/practice area.
Colwood Golf - Good Par 3 Practice Course
This is a covert good course to practice on irons and wedges (mostly wedges). Most holes are about 150 yards or so with the longest hole being 197.
Challenge your short game
This course is doing a great job of navigating these COVID19 times. Course is in decent shape and the greens are not easy, but can run on the slow side. Overall it’s a fun course and a great way to work out your short game.
Fun tight par 3s 9 holer
This is urban golf, 9 holes of par 3 fit snugly into a city block, traffic running along the left side of holes 1 and 2, if you hook your shot it could end up on somebody car windshields! Greens were smooth and fast, longest hole is 188, most are under 100 yards. It’s a practice course for your short games and also has a decent driving range and practice green, you can spend a couple hours out here hitting some balls then walk the 9 holes right after work.
Wet course
What a fun little course. Just wish that the holes across the street were open to the general public. The course was wet and the grass had just been mowed leaving grass on every ball. The day was really fun and I will be back.
Good Par 3 Course near PDX Airport
Nice compact par 3 course out near the Portland airport in the northeast part of the city. The layout is nice, but there is a fair amount of soggy turf throughout the course and some greens are damaged, with exposed dirt where grass should be. There are 2 tees and 2 pins for every hole, so it's kind of fun to play 18 and play each tee/flag combo. Driving range and chipping/putting green available right by the pro shop, and prices are all very reasonable. Recommend if you're looking for a casual, quick, and cheap par 3!
