Very good value based on price paid. The fairways and tee boxes were in average condition. The greens were in good condition. The course was busy but pace of play was good. I would recommend the course based on my experience.
The staff could not have been more polite and welcoming. They truly made you feel like a valued customer and it’s so nice to see someone grateful for your business. Only complaint is not taking credit cards - I can’t remember the last time I had to pay cash for greens fees!
With that said I feel bad to leave a less than stellar review, but the pace of play was horrid due largely to having lots of folks who probably should not have been on the course. There was probably more weed being smoked here than in a high school bathroom. This was also a memorable round because I cannot ever remember seeing someone hit driver then 3-wood on a par three before!
So while I’d gladly give the owners my business again, I’m going to have a hard time getting over a rough afternoon of waiting and feeling frustrated.
Great day for golf. Fairways were pretty good. However the leaves are maddening between the fairways. Other than that it was a great day!
Second time out here
Well, Staff was great and I played an early morning round. Even with the wet morning dew the course played pretty well. I hit a hole in one on hole four so that was nice!!!!!! Played a total of all 27 holes and as the day went on and as the greens were tended to, they were in pretty nice shape! In peak season I know this course would play very well!
Great Value/Great pace of play
Had an enjoyable paced round of golf under 3 hours. I was started off hole 19, so with 3 nines on the course, I was able to move quickly through the round of 18. A few rough spots around edges of greens, but overall they putted well.
Course looks nothing like the picture, so don't be fooled...Some holes had greens blocked by hanging trees (par 3's), so no way to land on the green off the tee...
Waste of time course with old dirty golf carts
Super Friendly Nice place
Me and the boys like to play here when we are looking for a relaxing casual place to play...Always fun here....super friendly folks....Place is not a 75 dollar course but its priced right!! great views...easy to get to....we will keep returning.....nice greens too!!
Tee boxes are in bad shape
For the money this course needs major cleanup and better conditions. Very ran down for the price. I have seen better course for less money.
Cheap but not pretty
Course was brown all over. Hard to tell fairway from rough. It all looked the same. Greens were in good shape for the most part. I don’t remember seeing sand in the sand traps, it was mostly filled in with high rough. I’d play again with a hot deal but I wouldn’t pay full price. Not kept up enough. Staff was very friendly
#1, course employees did a great job following pandemic protocols. Contact-free window at the clubhouse and obvious cleaning of carts were key. Way better than other courses I've played this year. Course was in pretty good shape despite the recent crazy weather. Pace of play was excellent. I recommend Loyal Oak for golfers seeking a safe course in this crazy time at an affordable price.
not a bad little course, greens a little slow, condition just ok, but fun with some nice holes, great value...wide open most holes, very scoreable
