Fabulous greens
Booked online and tee was on time.
A very warm friendly welcome by Caroline and another lady in proshop.
The greens where in good condition and very true, fairways well maintained.
Not the toughest of courses but a good challenge.
You need to be on the right side of the fairways to attach the greens.
A pat on the back for all staff I met including the guys on the course.
Will be back soon

Great course. Grade A bridges…good times.
Royal surprise
A well designed and looked after course in a remote but easy access from the M65 motorway in Lancashire. A warm welcome from the club staff as it was my first time, and provided some good course etiquette due to being a 9 hole and multiple Tees. The course was firm and greens looked after, with a number of tree lined holes criss crossing a stream through the middle. A very pleasant round with enough challenges to test even a low handicapper. Not the longest of courses which really helps the beginner.
Great 9 hole course
Long holes for a 9 hole course, and you can play 18 with the same holes, but a different Tee position. Very well maintained, would highly recommend
Nice well kept course
This is a nice well kept course I have played it a few times now, never any issues would recommend to anyone.
If it was closer I would certainly make my self a member, but I will certainly play this course lots this year.
Nice little challenge
First time playing here, the weather was a little damp and we actually struggled to see greens let alone the pin at times. Just one of those misty foggy days. Greeted with a nice reception in the shop, teed off early and they were fine with that.
Course held up well, the greens were pretty quick but they had just been tined so they were a bit inconsistent, but it’s needed at this time of year, quite small targets to hit so you have to be on point.
Winter restrictions meant we played out of the semi rough which again is fine for this time of the year. Some of the tee mats weren’t flat though so that could do with some improvement and traction wasn’t great at times as they were just a bit tired.
Course layout is a little up and down but slight doglegs and ditches makes you think about club selection.
Overall a quick nine holes played, in pretty bleak conditions, so we are going back when the weather is a tad warmer to see how it stacks up.
Thanks all at Oak royal
Great course
Great course, some tricky shots with the stream running right through the middle
Oak royal
Great course and very friendly staff and nice sun terrace for a drink after 👍👍⛳️⛳️⛳️
Crackin 9 holer
Class 9 holer with different tees for a back 9 if you want to play 18. The course was in great nick, greens were very fast for this time of year I can imagine them being brilliant in summer. It seemed they'd recently been sanded and punctured. All in all a great golf course for the price. Fantastic off-course facilities as well, little putting green and nets.
Best course
Beutifully kept course greens were nice staff super freindly beautiful veiws
Royal Oak
Always like playing here, it’s a good 9 hole course that is set quite up with some decent views and in decent knick year round.
