Norfolk premier golf
For the price the venue was ok.
I was a little surprised to find this wasn’t a full 18 hole and it was a double 9, but that’s down to me with research.
The course itself was acceptable and fairly well kept.
Having no “19” hole ( Bar facility) was also a little surprising which is always nice to round off your game.
Love playing here
We play here quite regularly. The course is short but challenging even for an ex 6 handicapper. We usually get round in 3 hours in the afternoon as it is normally quite that time of day.
The course was alot better condition than expected for a new course after all that rain we had. The 8th/17th is an excellent par 5.
Loved it
I teed off at 2pm so it was reasonably quiet. Although not a massive technical challenge, I really loved the course layout. The only negative was how wet the fairways and greens were.
Not bad for the money
Can’t complain for the money, thought the grounds could of done with a little extra maintenance, also no one’s fault partially but our buggy died half way through playing was told to carry on by foot, which wasn’t ideal as I have a dodgy knee hence why we get the buggy.
A Great Little Course
We’re relatively new into golf, a couple of years or so. We enjoyed the wide fairways and the lack of water obstacles! The greens appeared very well kept. The facilities including the Pro Shop and driving range were very popular too and the staff, very helpful and friendly. We’ll be back!
Temp Greens
Really let down by the temporary greens, not advised in advance and no change to green fees. Understand need to protect greens but placing a temp hole on fairway (not the fringe) really spoilt experience of first time playing here. Great range and friendly staff
First time round
The course is good for beginners and high handicap players. May not be very challenging for low handicap players. Greens are well maintained. Overall a great 9 hole course.
Nice course for high handicaps
Good course for beginner's. It's a good step up from playing par 3's for beginner's taking the jump to the big course. It's still challenging enough for anyone to enjoy though. Greens are in fairly good condition. Fairways are very dry but where isn't at the moment. Driving range is good. But £25 seems a little steep compared to other courses you can play for that amount.
Norfolk Premier Golf
Myself and friend have now played this course for the 3rd time. Yes it's short but as a former single handicapper find it quite challenging. Didnt play that well but shot 79 which ain't bad. The par 3s are very tricky and the 8th par 5 is a brilliant hole . Keep it in play off the tee and there is alot of birdie chances but can get into lots of trouble in the rough. Had a hot deal with Golf now at 2pm which makes it very affordable
Got round in 3 hours even with a four ball holding us up last 4 holes
.
Poor customer service
On arrival we were told no trolleys - we had big golf bags and drove an hour.
Staff couldn’t care less - we counted 7 golfers on the course with trolleys so clearly members were allowed.
Shocking customer service and refused to give us our £47 back.
DO NOT PLAY HERE
Poor customer service and information
Booked this course - on arrival (not when we booked) so a half hour drive and 1 hour round trip, we were told no trolleys allowed.
We both had trolley golf bags so weigh a lot to carry for 18 holes.
2 guys in the golf shop let 7 golfers before us (we stood in the car park getting ready) tee off and go out with trolleys.
They wouldn’t let us go out and did the same to the the guys behind us, when challenged the 2 guys behind the counter denied letting 7 people with trolleys go out even though we watched them (can only assume they are members or the guys friends)
We complained and they wouldn’t refund our money saying it’s GolfNows fault.
Completely useless customer service and we are £47 out of pocket with the course not caring at all and not offering any solutions.
DO NOT PLAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE A MEMBER OR A FRIEND OF THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Poor course
This is a short 9 hole loop which you play twice. First loop was fine but as you re join it just gets busier. We had to wait on every T box. Course is ok but greens are poor. Ground is rock hard (September). Couldn’t even get a t in the ground.
One family was letting their 5 year old hit balls and play on the course (play, not play golf )
Facilities are good and plenty of parking.
Mediocre summer round
The course is nicely laid out. Not too challenging, but offers some tough long rough in places. The poor Ken is, the ground is so hard, so misgiving the ball even slightly will ruin your hole. It became unenjoyable. And it can get quite busy, so at points you are stuck waiting for the people in front to clear (in some cases on the day I played, 15 minutes), and some times you felt like you were rushed due to a queue behind you. Could be good with some better management and better maintained fairways
Good for beginners
A very young 9 hole course so it’s great for beginners as you won’t be punished too badly for wayward shots off the tee. Very quiet for a Saturday morning, a week after the Masters.
You can add a bit of interest by playing the second 9 holes from different tees and it’s a very relaxed dress code so you won’t feel intimidated if you’re new to the game and are just taking your first tentative steps into the world of golf. Probably not a great challenge for good golfers, but certainly challenging enough for me.
The bunker at the back of the eighth hole is something to behold, but not really a big threat when you’re actually playing. Felt more like it was put there to get the adrenaline pumping on the drive into the car park!
