Course was well kept and the pace of play was good. Granted they were slow due to a heat wave when I played. Fun design and greens were good. Would play this course again.

Very Pleasant Short Course Muni

At 5466 from the tips Alhambra provides plenty of challenge - there's enough water, sand and tight areas to play a control game. Clubhouse restaurant and a doubled tiered driving range off mats. A Bell design which while old school is very picturesque in areas. Greens were in decent shape rolling well and overall the course is maintained. A nice way to tune up your short game and get a few birdies. We played on a Thursday afternoon and were slowed slightly on the back nine so it's likely I experienced the course on the best possible terms with a very light tee sheet. I wouldn't mind at all playing it again. 3.5 stars.

Fair but slow

It is great course, moderate difficulty with some nice holes to keep you thinking. I got stuck behind two groups of four heading into the back nine and it put me back an hour creating frustration as I had appointment to be at. There are clocks keeping you updated all round the course as to pace of play, pity these players couldnt have been more self aware as it does effect many people when you play slow. Took close to 4.75 hours this time. Previously played this course in just over 3.5 hours. This was a sour note to a superb day!

All good but the guy in the pro shop

Had a great time but the guy in the pro shop could have been a bit friendlier.

Pace of Play Unacceptable

This was the second time I’ve played this course on a Tuesday (I usually play on the weekend). Both times the round took 5 hours. It took one hour & ten minutes from teeing off on 16 until we finished at 18. If the pro shop is letting fivesomes out, they need to have marshals on the course to keep play moving. The fivesome ahead of us had two holes open in front of them. When I called the pro shop while waiting on 16, I was told to skip a hole & come back to play the hole skipped - very unrealistic when so many groups were backed up behind us.

Not bad

Nice course. I forgot to get the $7 off the $51 fee. So booking on line cost me an extra $7 guess it’s my fault . I think that should be automatic.

Enjoyable fairly easy course

I shot my best round ever - finally broke 80! I still had to make some key putts, iron play was really good, and got lucky on a couple of drives (and, somewhat wide and forgiving course), but it was still a bit of a challenge. The greens are a bit quick and at times a challenging read. Overall, really enjoyed the round - especially since the course fit my length off the tee. I could hit a decent 200 yard drive, and then have a short iron into most greens (just like Tiger!).
