Okay course
Okay course for non stressful play. Enjoyable. No drink cart today. Course condition is not great but obviously being worked on.
Good Value
Greens have been repaired and are still new. Fairways need attention.
Great
Great value for a golfer who is learning how to play
Under Construction
14 of the greens are under repair, so they’ve cut a few holes in half (making 2 out of 1) and closed a few, so the course is shorter (maybe 400-500 USA). Paid only $14 for 18 w/cart, so that was nice. Fun course, but not overly creative.
We played Lone Tree in Antioch (again) and found
it fun.
They had hoped to get the greens redone by today
but that is pushed until August 1 thru the 15th.
As such, there remains 14 temporary greens with
the big bucket holes, which are fun but not post-able.
The rest of the course is in average/good condition with some bare spots in the fairways.
Great pub.
Wouldn’t recommend right now, wait till it’s repaired
We were aware course under repair but almost every hole? Greens were tiny little patches and we had no idea how long each hole was. Many parts flooded and grass mowed but not raked so I lost many balls underneath. Add to that the sprinkles were on at hole 13 at 12:30 PM (in drought ridden California) at the tee and we got soaking wet, no way to avoid by cart. If you still want to play now, book directly as it is only $20 and doesn’t include the Golf Now service charge.
Temporary greens
I used to previously golf here and it was a great course. Yesterday their greens were under repair and were using temporary greens, some in the middle of the fairways. It was still a good time out but the holes are short about 1600 yards in total. Wait to come back when the greens are repaired.
No greens
They had no greens
Instead we hit into these bigger holes
With no chance of putting
All courses should have notes of what there doing with there courses before people pay money & invest their time GOLF NOW NEEDS TO HAVE A POLICY FOR COURSES TO GIVE DAILY UPDATES PERIOD........
Lone tree in summer
Well the course is getting better, but you will have to wait for it. The greens are not in the normal place so using your GPS will not work. I understand that they are trying to make the course better, but could they have not done this in the winter.
We played Lone Tree in Antioch at noon as a twosome and finished in about 4 hours.
Weather was warm, slight breeze, conditions were good except there are currently 14 temporary greens and they are using the large bucket holes.
It was fun, because all the "holes" were reachable and I made 14 1-hole puts, but couldn't post the score as it was not a standard course.
Fun for a change but like playing miniature golf on
a large basis.
Under Repair Play
Out of 18 holes, 14 are undergoing green repair. So this is a tune-up course or practice course to try fixing your game..that's being generous! Good course condition for a beginner, but it's very dry (hot), awaiting new grass growth & due to the repair, it has few golfers. There are 2 holes that are not playable, so that lowers your score by 7 strokes..its a 16 hole course with make-shift greens in front of the usual greens. To lower your score, the holes are 3 times bigger due to the "rough greens"" which translates to a score close to what the pros might do on a regulation 18 hole course. Word to the wise...play now to get a course you can claim to have scored better than 70 in you golf career.
Greens closed. Fairways in poor condition
I played this course on 6/2/18. 14 of the greens were closed due to repair. They advertised temporary greens. When I got there the temporary greens were merely flag sticks and cups at the end of the fairways. No putting was possible. the fairways were also in terrible shape. The should have just closed the course during maintenance. I felt cheated.
The restaurant staff was friendly and the clubhouse was very clean.
Tough Day
If you only care about Drives & Fairway shots for now, then you’re in luck!
The staff & course were great, but the 14 temporary greens were brutal.
Terrible course
Overall condition of the course is fair at best.
Most greens are temporary.
Lots of fairway and green repais going on.
I would’nt play there again ...
Under Repair
Many greens have been sprayed and killed preparing for a resurface. It would have been good information in deciding where to play. I will not return until greens are finished
Not such a Hot Deal
I like the layout of Lone Tree and play there only infrequently because it's a long trip for me. On this occasion, the trip was time poorly spent. The course was open but had 14 (yes, 14!) temporary greens and they were not even decent temporary greens, The management just picked spots about 10 paces in diameter then mowed then short and cut a hole. Most were very bumpy and moire suited to miniature glf than the real thing. Worst experience I've ever had with a GolfNow booking
We played Lone Tree in Antioch at noon as a twosome
and finished in about 4 hours.
The main greens are currently being sprayed and they
have 14 temporary greens with an eight inch hole.
Makes for a fun experience but not something you
play as regulation or want to get used to.
Great Value
Course played well. It was late so pretty windy. Fairways were good, Greens needed work but rolled true. I think they about to replace the greens? if thats the case it would make sense. Good value and pace of play.
