I love the area and this course
We always have a great day at black oak. the course is always in good shape and the rate of play is always good
Amazed at how well the course was maintained after a horrific rain, windstorm.
I am thankful that Black Oak allows walkers. The exercise that includes walking is the reason we play golf. The setting is very nice with the well-kept course and all of the trees that surround it.
Best 9 hole experience you will ever have.
Normally when you think 9 hole course you think executive or that course was squeezed into limited space. This 9 hole course is as challenging as any course you will ever play, with the greens in the last 5 years rolling as fast as the local country clubs. The lay out is par 36 on rolling terrain with many mature oaks, hence the name. However, to score on this course you must be able to work it both ways. Only drawback is range is mats and irons only if you hit it over 200 yards. Overall excellent experience, even for the low handicapper.
