Catalina Island Golf Club

I am an international golfers, that have played almost all over the world -- both east and west -- from ASIA, ( almost all countries from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Burma ); Scotland, England, Spain,; some states in U.S.A., and Mexico. So, my assessment might be very strict.
I played with my son,- 9 years old, who took up golf about a few months ago, who could and dared to tee-off from the first tee on top of the hill.
Overall, it has a very interesting layout for the land area on this island. The inclination of each hole could have been raised in certain landing area to make it more challenging, for the par-4s; the greens, although undulating with the hilly contour, the grass could have been kept better condition.
We were lucky to play on the morning of Nov. 27, the morning after the THANKSGVIING DAY, so it was a bit easy, and relaxed, as we noticed on the other times, and days, it was crowded with 2 -3 groups of players waiting at each tee-box.
We enjoyed our game of 9 holes, for the weather was superb - cool and nice and pleasant.

There is a drought. Greens were in bad shape. Understood because of water issues. Cart paths in bad shape. Fairways, were barely in fair shape. Paid for first round through golf now. Good price. Played again on Sat. and booked through the club house on the phone. They charged $101.00 for 9 holes with cart. Way OVER priced, Manager Mark on Fri. was wonderful and recommended Steve's steak house. Awesome. Sat price was rediculous for the course and condition. Some tee boxes torn up.

Had great time, very friendly staff, stored our golf tote bags while we played. Got an earlier tee time than scheduled, due to opening in the books, which gave us more island time. Just a great experience!

This is my home course and I play with the Women's Golf Club on a regular basis.
I am thrilled with GolfNow because of the great price I can get so I can play more often!!

This is only a 9-hole course but is excellent condition. At hole 7 the back tire was very low on air, we called the proshop and a new cart arrived in less than 3 minutes. Rick was very helpful.

The Catalina Island course is a fun place to play and offers several challenging holes. The course is not a long one, but wind is certainly a factor. The staff is very friendly and if you find a deal here on golfnow, it's well worth it.

This course is definitely worth a look. Very pretty landscape. And a great course for beginners. A very open course. Greens were in good shape. They didn't always look the best, however the roll was true which is of utmost importance. Tees and fairways and bunkers also in good shape. Does offer a few challenging shots, and big elevation changes which is always fun! Check this course out especially if you are on the island and want a golf break!

Golfnow has a hot deal at 10:00 a.m every day that is really affordable, otherwise it is a little pricey. All of the staff I have meet have been very friendly. This course is fun and a little challenging if you're not a straight hitter, I think there is OB on every hole. Only downsides are the distractions from the traffic and the course only has 9 holes.
