Beautiful gem
I have played 100 courses in the Valley and this is top 3 easily. The architects did an amazing job, needs to be played a few times to know exactly where to hit it. Lots and lots of character, difficult, but fair, greens are quick. Very FUN course, had a blast, will be playing this many more times. Staff was polite from check in to lunch. Must play course!!!
Excellent
Played in the AM off Blue tees. Very nice layout. A good game off the tee box is required or it will make for a long day.
Ive only played the course once. Though i enjoyed very much, i must play a few more times to see if the overall experience is consistent.
Yes, the course is far off the beaten path from Scottsdale. But hey - its golf!
Not ready for prime time
First let me say the conditions at Lil Wick are just like those of Big Wick...outstanding! From tees, to greens to hammocks, sitting areas & music-all wonderful and ready for a par 3 party. Getting there and playing...not so grand. Very little signage to help get to parking lot...then about a 400y walk from parking areas to "Watering Hole" (don't forget you have to walk back too). No shuttle service, even for old men! Longest holes ~190 from back tees some over H2O. The Watering Hole was slow, understaffed, no menu choices (we had 3 choices: beef, chicken, combo taco plates), very UNDERWHELMING considering the perfection of golf course and of Big Wick and amount of advertising I received. I would play it again...in another year after cart paths from Big Wick finished, restaurant better staffed & prepared, and whole experience is more golfer ready.
