Nice greens
I was very pleaseantly surprised at how good of shape the greens were in. The bunlers need work, but tje course was in good shape.
Great course
Greens were very good. Considering it hasn't rained since April the whole course was good. Some holes are a real challenge. Great value for the money.
Always a great value
I've played this course 20 times over the past 12 years and I've always enjoyed it. I like the layout and the pace of play is always good. My wife and I played 18 in 3:15 and we didn't rush our play.
Need a work
Good for the price, but the sand traps are infested with flies, the fairways are being taken over by crab grass, a lot of debris on the greens. On a good note, the carts have a ball wash and club wash on them.
Nice course
Played Coyote Run several times, always challenging. Course was in very good shape.
Not worth the money or hassle to get on base
Our tee time from GolfNow was for 9:04 a.m. We called the course 30 minutes prior as stated in the GN instructions. The person at the desk said that no one is available to meet us at the gate to escort us to the course until 9:00, so we waited in our car at the Gate for 40 minutes until the guy finally showed up to escort us in.
The course itself was in poor condition - the fairways were overgrown and leaves so dense you could hardly find your ball in the fairway. It took us almost 5 min per play just to find our ball in the fairway or just off the fairway. My husband lost one of his balls 'in' the fairway...we saw it in the air, but never did find it!
We will not play this course again - not worth the $37 we paid (price included the cart) or the hassle of being escorted to the course from the entry gate.
Nice experience
This course is relatively flat and the greens and fairways are fairly well taken care of. The only thing not up to par are the sand traps. They require attention and the staff has a hard time maintaining them. This would change if more golfers would join. Course is located on a military base (Beale AFB) and is a hassle to enter the base without a pass ($40/year)
I recommend it and would like to see golfers join.
Interesting golf course
You can only play this course if you are military, by invite or sponsored in from GC. It starts off with a nice long fairway, that is lined with tall old trees that give shade along the way. Every hole is noted with a challenge to get you on your game. Bring a few extra balls. Summer time can be HOT ! It's setting is on a plateau and so the exposure is very warm. Several of the well placed lakes make reaching the green fun to bet against your friends to see, "Who can make it". Bathrooms well placed. Cold beers on the turn !
Nice course
A relatively flat course, Coyote Run poses varying interesting challenges. I love that the electric carts include ball and club washers. Course is well laid out and the greens were in excellent shape. The course is on Beale AFB; staff is very friendly and provides free sponsorship and escort to get on the base.
Hidden Gem.
First the only thing which could be perceived as a negative. You are entering an active military base so you'll need to get there 1 hour before your tee time with ID and sometimes they will ask for car regestratio etc.
Now once clear of this you have access to one of Northern California's hidden gems. The footprint of the course is mammoth. The fairways are tree lined, there is water and the geeens are most receptive.
Take care and think twice about your shot as the fairways are rolling and there are some sneaky run offs that'll catch you.
We played early afternoon and had the course to ourselves.
Staff are accommodating and informative.
Facilities are basic but clean.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE COURSES HERE AT HOME.
20 plus years have passed
I was pleasant surprised with our visit to this course. I played here 20 years ago with my grandfather . We found the greens in excellent condition. The fairways were challenging, the rough was a bit.high. We are playing here again next week. Oh, the range balls are inexpensive and of top quality.
Poor Condition
The worst I've seen this course! The fairway is like hitting out of the rough, the rough is ...... well don't think you'll find your ball and the golf cart dies while you play. I don't know who does the maintenance but needs to take pride. If the course was in better condition people may want to play on this course!
Coyote Run
I work on the AF base so it is my practice course and is very reasonable for price. Never really have to wait and usually in pretty good shape. Lots of trees for shade in summer and open fairways. A few challenging holes but overall good general golf course.
Only problem is accessing the base.
Sog Fest 2017
The course should be CLOSED! Only the back 9 was open. A swamp boat would be useful sense its cart path only. If you don't mind red dirt mudd water staining everything from your waist down have fun!
Most friendly staff
We play this course about 10times a year very friendly staff. The course is maintained fairly well the tee boxes could use some work but overall for the price it's worth it.
Tough, but fun
Front 9 closed? Played back 9 twice which was fine. Will be back someday to play full course. A lot of challenging holes what with having to hit over waste areas. If you're not a long hitter might have a problem. All in all had a enjoyable day
Already looking forward to my return
I have played this course several times in the past 2 months and totally enjoyed the experience.
I played the white tees (6350 yards) and it is a true test for me (77 years old).
Most courses I shoot in the high 80's....My last round here I shot 103....and loved the experience...this course is in good condition and the layout makes it a stern test...which I love.
This AFB is on "high security alert" so getting through security and to the golf course is a pain in the butt...but once you get there you are rewarded by nice people and a fun golf course.

I'll be back soon.
I play this course every week and only pay $13.50 with cart, I never wait at the gate because I paid for a yearly pass $40, course is always in great shape very green even in the summer.I recommend hitting it in the fairway and you will always find your`e ball! Everyone has a bad day once i a while I think this was there day!!!
