Plenty of water, just not going on the fairways. Most bunkers were very muddy. Several had standing water in them at noon on a day when it was 86 degrees. Photo submitted by danstone360
Teeboxes were a joke in nearly all cases. Photo submitted by danstone360
Fairways were awful. Not because of the drought. This course has reclaimed water and it was very muddy in many places. Seems like their grounds crew is off for 2015. Photo submitted by danstone360

Now is the Time
The course conditions have improved since the last time I played here. Time to punched and fertilize the fairways. Bunkers need more sand & grooming. Tees need attention before the season changes.
All in all, it's better, but not good.
Conditions take the fun out of your game
Used to be in better shape; lots of weeds, brown patches and dirt spots throughout. Our drought has something to do with it, but not this much as compared to other courses. Pace was fast mid-week, but conditions were rough and inconsistent. Glad pace was fast, otherwise I would have blown a gasket according to the wife!
Not sure how the owners rationalize the cost of a round vs. the conditions of this course. The temperature was 78 degrees and most of the fairways were over saturated. This promotes weeds more than not watering at all. Fairways had not been cut in the last week and the rough was over-grown to the point of losing balls just off the fairway. I was told that there are only nine maintenance workers for 27 holes! The lakes are disgusting and unhealthy. DO SOMETHING!
I was one of the first players to play the Diablo Course when it first opened. I have played this course at least 50 times per year since then. It saddens me to see the condition of this course. The fairways are over-grown with weeds, the bunkers are not maintained ever and the water hazards are now "health hazards" and are gross. I can only recommend the fact that 70% of the greens are in good shape but that may be short-lived.
The staff is always friendly, but the condition of the facility is a joke.
Selling it and hopefully getting an investor to redeem these 27 holes would be my suggestion. I will play my golf in the valley or the foothills for the time being. I will miss John and Ella in the bar.
Bunkers in poor shape the greens were in great shape except for a couple that had disease spots. They rolled and held the balls well. Would play again
We played Brentwood at noon as a twosome and finished in about 4 hours.
The weather was over 100 degrees, greens were in good condition, fairways are typical California with
some thin spots.
The course is surrounded by residential housing,
and has water on several holes.
Overall a good pace and good value.
Worth the drive.
Course need attention
. The fairways are in poor shape and in some areas of fairway are saturated. I prefer a course that takes care of their fairways and area around the green. It's a dirt pit on some holes near the greens. No grass just dirt. The sand traps are nothing but dirt. This course is in need of real help in poor condition.
Brentwood Golf Course
I am not going to play this course. The fairways are in poor shape and in some areas of fairway are saturated. I prefer a course that takes care of their fairways and area around the green. It's a dirt pit on some holes near the greens. No grass just dirt. Totally unacceptable to me
Course has went downhill.
Used to play this course 2-3 times a week 3-4 years ago but I moved out of the area. Went back for the first time today, fairways have standing water, weeds in the fairways, sand traps are full of rocks.
Driving range is all weeds and dirt. I am extremely disappointed in this course, it used to be about $32 for a round on Sunday morning and was $45 today with the course in bad shape. Won’t be back again for a while!
