Pheasant Run Golf Course

6 hour round? Not going to happen again. Marshall could have sped things up. Still love Pheasant Run but the pace was ridiculous Sat the 11th.

With only a few days from all the rain we had the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. With golf now we saved over 50% and the weather was great.

The front 9 is more interesting and less difficult than the back 9. The back 9 is considerably longer, making it quite tough for the average female golfer. A lot of water hazards and sand traps.

There can be interferences with local residents that wonder onto and through the course using it as a shortcut. This can slow down the pace., but for the most part not a problem.

Great course, only problem was the slow play had to wait on each hole but overall a great course.

Had vacation this past week and wanted to play a course while visiting the relatives. Chose Pheasant Run. Glad I did. Nice course, easy to get to. Weather was a little cold so frost delay was in order. But we went out on #2 and had little trouble getting on #1 when we were almost done. Only hiccup was I asked the pro shop by phone how much for a rider and she first said $14 and then called me back and said nothing. But when I got there, they charged me $14 for the rider. Wish they wold get that part straight. Overall, though good times. Lots of water and nice fairways. Very fast greens.

Not too many people come out to chowchilla. I love playing this place, holes are challenging, but scoreable. Never overcrowded. Greens roll true, and fast!

My buddy and I play here once or twice a week. We drive an hour to get here and enjoy it more than the closer courses. There are a few long par fours and watch out for the water on 4, 9, 11, 14, and 18. Eric in the pro shop is always friendly and helpful.

This is a course I play often and when I do I usually score well. I love the layout and the course is laid out to my liking. Fairways are wide and greens are pretty big. It always it very nice shape fairways are level and usually pretty lush. The green seems to be pretty flat but have some very sneaky breaks close to the hole. I hate number 10! water on both sides of the fairway and for some reason I always end up there off the tee

You can't go wrong, everyone at the pro shop will go out of their way to assist you and your party. That includes the cart shop, your cart will be clean, score card and pencil at the ready. The restaurant and bar area are top notch, one of the best in the area. My group and I will be back and soon.

great course greens are excellant

I live an hour and 15 minutes away and will continue to make the drive to play at this course over my local course in Lemoore any day!! The course, clubhouse and Staff are great! And with the online specials they offer I will keep coming back.

The greens are great smooth and fast with very few ball marks. The rough isn't ling but it is sticky and you will be punished for hitting it in there.

Pace of play was very slow at times. 3 groups backed up at first par 3.

This course has always been enjoyable to play. Several interesting holes. Stretch of par 4's on the back nine, locals call "The Gauntlet" can be very challenging.

This course usually offers reward for the extra drive. There was rain two days previous and the bunkers had standing waters in them all. On the 18th my ball ended up in a bunker with a foot of standing water. I gave the staff a chance to make good and they did not deliver. Just a " I will let management know."
Food was great! Green awesome! Fairways average.
Thankful it was a hot deal!

For the deal received on golf now.com, this was a fantastic price for this course. We paid about half what it would cost normally. This is a great course that is both challenging and fun to play.

One of my best day of golf on this course. A little foggy in the morning but it played out to be beautiful day.

Made the mistake of playing Sunday after Thanksgiving. The course was packed due to several factors; frost delay, holiday play, weekend play, and an RV stay and play special.

The round took over five and a half hours and an 1130 tee time barely allowed us to finish before dark. IDK if this was preventable or not, but the multitude of FIVE and SIX person groups did not help.

The course was in typical winter conditions and the greens were fantastic as usual. Even the bunkers seemed to have started to be worked on.
